Okay so I've picked a few cameras that are going to be on sale during the holidays but I can't decide. I'm not a professional photographer or anything, I just want a digital camera for daily use, but they also should take good quality photos & videos. All have some pros & cons sad.gif If you guys have ever owned these cameras before, or know about them, etc. or can give me opinions on which to get, that'd be really helpful!

=====

Casio® Exilim® EX-Z33 10.1MP

Retail: $119.99
Sale Price: $89.99

Pros:
- Comes in a bundle
- I already own SD cards so they would be compatible with the camera
- I've owned previous Casio cameras so I have some chargers & ion batteries & camera case/strap just in case anything happens with the accessories given
- Rechargable (no need for AA batteries)
- It has 10.1 megapixels & 3x optical zoom which is good enough for me

Cons:
- Retail price is low to begin with & I can get it off Amazon for $100 even without having to line up on Black Friday
- I can't find any reviews!!! >.< Since the price is low & I can't find reviews, I'm kind of hesitant about the camera :x

=====

Sony Cyber-shot® W220 Digital Camera

Retail Price: $179.99
Sale Price: $129.99

Pros:
- It has 12.1 megapixels & 4x optical zoom
- Good reviews
- Rechargable

Cons:
- Costs more than the Casio & I don't know if the Casio would be just as good as the Sony =/
- I can't use my SD memory cards & usually the memory sticks for Sony are expensive

=====

Canon - PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera

Retail Price: $199.99
Sale Price: $149.99

Pros:
- There's good reviews everywhere
- 10.0 megapixels & 3x optical zoom
- Compatible with SD memory cards
- Rechargable

Cons:
- Costs more than the other two cameras, especially the Casio even though it has the same megapixels & optical zoom

=====

Nikon® COOLPIX® S220 10.0MP Digital Camera

Retail Price: $149.99
Sale Price: $129.99

Pros:
- 10 megapixels & 3x optical zoom
- Compatible with SD cards
- Rechargable

Cons:
- Can't really find any reviews either
- More expensive than Casio as well

probably not casio, i dont think that it's amazing... (had bad experience and like casio doesnt really specialize in cameras... well thats what i would say anyway.)
sony uses a memory stick so its not compatible with other cameras (but then again you'll be using YOUR camera. but could still be less convenient)
canon and nikon would be my choices.
i duno.
well personally i'm a canon person.
but NO to casio. lol. thats basically all i wanna say.

the SD1200 has gotten some good reviews.
Also, I think I've found them go for close to $110 the past few days.

I think the Canon camera would be the best choice because I have a Sony camera and my sister has a Canon camera.
My sister's camera has so much more features that you would ACTUALLY USE.
Also, her pictures make her come out SOO MUCH nicer than how it looks on my camera.
And, my camera has .1 more megapixels than her, but sometimes it's not as clear.
Also, her camera takes pictures faster.
For my Sony camera, you have to kinda wait like a few seconds.
:/ I think Sony cameras are the way to go if you want a pretty camera, but Canon is for quality for sure.

I wish Panasonic Lumix is in the list cos they're pretty good even those with not so high megapixels. I own a Sony myself and it takes really good picture. You just have to play around with the settings according to different environment. There's so many things you can do with it as long as you know how to use it properly. Then again mine is the one with 13.6mp so the quality is pretty sharp. I don't know if this applies to other cyber-shot range. I also think the memory card shouldn't be an issue. I bought some on Amazon and they're extremely cheap. Don't know if they're original or not but it works on my camera and hasn't been giving me any problem. Just look around and maybe you could find a bargain yourself.

For sure Canon would be my pick!
The image quality is really nice and there are a lot of functions.

Nikon, I don't know why, but I don't like it at all. The functions are hard to use for me, and they're somewhat limited. And when reviewing the pictures, from the past 4 or 5 Nikon sure shots I've seen, it takes so long just for the picture to load clearly.

I think you should get the Canon. I used to own a Casio Exilim in the older style and it definitely lacks in quality. I own the canon SD1200 and I love it. It's easy to use, has amazing photo quality and the price is quite good.

Canon is worth the money. Their point and shoots are the better ones out there.
They have pretty good quality, all around. (Image, durability, etc).

More megapixels doesn't necessarily mean better quality.

I find that my 4.0 mp Canon from 6 years ago takes better pictures than my 10.0 mp Nikon.

I say definitely go for the Canon. (:
