So there's this girl I have a crush on for a while. We've known each other for about a year & lately i just don't know what's up with her. Sometimes when I'd approach her, she'd be like really mean to me.. like I'd look at her sometimes and she looks back & be like "WHAT" & other things & then just smile & laugh. I don't get her drift & I would like to know what's up * & stuff..
Like are girls mean to people they'd like, playfully?

Uhm, no! When I like someone I try and be as nice to them as possible, and even make them things. Maybe she's not interested? She could be like Helga from Hey Arnold! Haha. She liked Arnold, but didn't know how to handle herself so she was mean towards him. Why not give her a talk instead and ask what's up.

from my perspective, I don't think she's interested. She just probably looks to you as a friend,
by the way she's acting towards you. Not sure if it's avoiding because I don't avoid guys like that.
I usually talk to my guy friends in a more meaner and rough tone since they probably won't think I'm tough haha.
Being mean to a guy you like...I've never actually thought of that.

i am never ONLY nice to guys i have a crush on. actually the only time when i'm nice and polite to guys is when i'm with guys who are STRICTLY guy friends. being PLAYFULLY mean/teasing is a way of flirting for lots of girls AND guys! it keeps things interesting lol...tease her back! actually, i think being mean playfully and teasing shows closeness whereas being nice/polite shows that you two don't really know each other well enough.

It depends on her personality. If she's the type that wants to hide the fact that she likes you, she'll be mean, or it's just the way girls like this expresses their feelings, sometimes without even knowing. That's how I am. She's playfully mean right? Not the "go away, i'm disgusted by you" kind of mean?
Unless she's not then she just dislikes something about you all of a sudden, cause she hasn't acted this way until recently. But it could also mean she just started liking you lol.

My crush and I are mean to each other like that! He's always picking on me and bullying me and I'm always picking on him and bullying him. It's all in a joking/playful manner of course. But when we're completely serious, we're nice to each other - like how you act when you like someone.
