im thinking about getting this game for my 360 i was wondering if anybody still plays this game the game looks fun but ive only played WOW where the fan base is very huge and going to a 360 mmorpg im not to sure about it

I used to... then I jumped the WoW bandwagon.
I had a Red Mage Mithra lvl 14... damn, they were good days. I enjoyed the game but after playing WoW, I really favoured the style of gameplay... FFXI seems so stiff after playing WoW, lol. (Menus! XD Only thing that lets XI down...)
I can see it getting quite sparse as the FF14 release dates draws closer, but I suppose it would be a good idea to go on and make a few friends in time for FF14. :)

um.. i played for a long long long long time. and quit during the summer. i played the year of 2007->2008(1 whole year..hardcore-ish ly) and played many times before that but couldnt stick to the game. I played wow when i quit ffxi and its completely different but i like them both, i hit end game for ffxi and wow. But if you were to start ffxi, i still have many friends on Phoenix server if you were looking for hook ups in $$ just ask me

- Just a side note, it is one of the most time consuming game you will ever play in your life if you take it to end game.


i was a 75whm 75bst and with like almost every other job to 37.

-edit, u might as well get the pc version as its not limited to xbox only. u will need it eventually. so many macros, mouse and keyboard + faster pc will benefit better
