lets say i have a class in which i am getting a grade i dont really want. I want to transfer so all my classes needs to have an A (im guessing) I goto santa monica college and want to drop this class. (Im not really bothering with the smc forum cause i dont think anyone goes there anymore...) do you think i can still drop this class like right now? or should I try and get an A? (but the thing is, my teacher is crazy and her final is almost impossible. her books freaking ran out and my friend lost mine -__- so if i try and still get a B, can i still drop this class?)

i dont know if i made any sense cause im freaking out right now. so sorry ><;;;

if you know you arent gonna get the grade you want, drop it.
as long as it doesnt register as an Fail you are fine. (there is a deadline for this so make sure you check)

i dropped my communications class cause i knew i wasnt gonna get an A. and it didnt hurt my gpa at all ^^

it says the deadline to receive a guaranteed "W" was Oct 26..

you can still drop though with faculty approval until Nov 23rd. so that gives you a week to get approval from your teacher to drop.

i have no idea what it means by faculty approval though.. and whether a "W" shows up or "WF" (withdraw failing) or "WP" (withdraw passing) on your transcript.


i don't understand what you're saying about getting a B and then dropping though. o__o you can't complete a course and then drop it after you've already received your grade :/
