She said, "I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, 'I just heard you're doing Spider-Man 4.' And I said, 'Really? No one told me!' It's not true." Her words are also supported by Sony Pictures' representative who stated, "It's an Internet rumor, as so many things are these days."
Report on Rachel McAdams
being the strong contender to play the skilled cat burglar Felicia Hardy a.k.a. Black Cat was first sparked by Mania. The site claimed at the time that the leading lady of "The Time Traveler's Wife" has met with the producers of the fourth installment of the "Spider-Man" series for the part.
While one rumor related to this fourth movie
has been shot down, another one built up and it involved the possibility of the web-slinging superhero having a baby with Mary Jane Watson
. The new rumor was sparked by the film's recent casting call posted on Spoiler TV. The casting call unraveled that the producers are looking for a young boy with red hair to play a character simply called "Toddler Boy".
While there is yet words denying or confirming the speculation, Spoiler TV pointed out that there is a chance that the character won't be Spider-Man's kid. Instead, the site noted that Toddler Boy could be the young Cletus Kasady who eventually grows up to be Spider-Man's nemesis, Carnage.
