Yamada Ryosuke lands first lead role in drama series

Yamada Ryosuke (16) from Hey!Say!JUMP will play his first lead role in a drama that will start airing next January (Saturdays at 9) on Nippon Television.

'Hidarime Tantei EYE' was aired as a tanpatsu in October. Yamada plays a junior high school student (Tanaka Ainosuke) who receives a corneal transplant from his elder brother. He then starts getting flashes from the new eye that led him to face off against a criminal organization.

Yamada commented,"I was very happy when I knew that I was to play Ainosuke again. I hope to make filming go smoothly with the help of the other actors. When I read the script and get to the unexpected endings, I think "I was tricked!". This time the stories will develop towards more unpredictable conclusions. I hope everyone will accompany Ainosuke as he gets embroiled in more cases and mysteries!"

Yokoyama Yu (28) and Ishihara Satomi (22) will also return.

Synopsis
Tanaka Ainosuke was born with a weak left eye. Then one day, his older brother Yumehito dies mysteriously, allowing Ainosuke to receive a cornea transplant from him. After the surgery, whenever there is a shock to his left eye he sees strange images. Ainosuke assumes that the images might be clues to his brother's death and starts an investigation with the help of his junior high school nurse Sayama Hitomi. But just when their probe begins, an unidentified criminal organization appears to disrupt their investigation...

I've seen the special, it was a good show. Thrilling. Although the ending left me hanging and I wanted more, so I'm glad they decided to make a drama out of it. Love the actors! Yamada and Yokoyama! <3 Yamada was so cool in it. And that teacher/nurse, she was a bit funny too.

I've seen the special, it was a good show. Thrilling. Although the ending left me hanging and I wanted more, so I'm glad they decided to make a drama out of it. Love the actors! Yamada and Yokoyama! <3 Yamada was so cool in it. And that teacher/nurse, she was a bit funny too.

Haha i know after the SP ended my lil bro was like "where's the next episode?!" n I was like its just an SP and he got mad since he's rarely into jdramas and this one left at a cliffhanger haha.

I'm really looking forward to watching the drama Yokoyama was awesome as the villain. After the Quiz Show 2 he's gonna do another awesome job as a twisted scheming guy hehe. I really like Satomi role though it might be a bit annoying but it brings laughter especially how she sees stuff that tells her not to do she goes ahead and do it.

Crystal Kay to make drama debut

Singer Crystal Kay (23) has been given her first regular role in a television drama series. She will appear in NTV's "Hidarime Tantei EYE," which is scheduled to premiere on January 23.

"Hidarime Tantei EYE" started out as a one-episode special in October, but the network decided to develop it into a complete series for this winter. The show stars 16-year-old Hey! Say! JUMP member Ryosuke Yamada as a junior high student who begins seeing visions after a corneal transplant, leading him to fight against a criminal organization.

Crystal Kay will play the part of Akira Kokusho, a genius hacker living in confinement. She already made her acting debut in Naoto Takenaka's movie "Yamagata Scream" earlier this year, but this will be her first time acting on the small screen.

I really liked Yamada in Q... that's why I'm watching this drama.
But I think he has over-acted in this drama.... some of the parts are just way too exaggrated!!
I also like the sensei... cos she was really good in Puzzle and she's still crazy in this one too.. hehe...

Yamada may have overacted but it was good, it's exhausting to break down and shed real tears in each scenes and I bet the kid got really exahusted, he even had a workshop to shed real tears. +_+

Really? I finished watching the drama a few months ago and yeah Yamada had some heavy scenes with all those emotional breakdown and crying. I enjoyed the show, he and that nurse were funny together. Good chemistry.
Even at the end of the drama when they were all congratulating each other he cried again.
