Raw or English? What version do you read...

Hey guys, do you read manga/manhwa/manhua in their original language (raw) or the translated one?


I read mine in english.. sad.gif

because i can't read japanese, chinese or even korean...

i hope to learn in the future...

I read 99% of them in English since I hardly ever read Korean manhwas, that and I can't find the raws sleep.gif

Usually English, purely because it's faster. And I ceebs looking for RAWs.
That said, the 3-4 volumes of manga I actually own are in Japanese lol. But yeahh.

Seriously, I could read something like Death Note in japanese, but if it took like 40min per volume (or smoething like that iirc) in English; in Japanese...ohhh boy.

But it's always nice to have the option XD

i usually read them in english but sometimes i cant wait so i look at the raws and u kinda figure out wats going and its pretty easy to know wats happening too lol but now im taking japanese class i hope to be able to read japanese!!

I read most of my Japanese mangas raw (Cause I can technically read it without fail) and
it's much better because you can really see how the character speaks and expresses more realistically.
While English, I cringe on the over exaggerations and losing the context of the original meaning occasionally.

But when I don't have a choice or can't find the raw version, I just read the English on scantalation sites.

I read them in English. The scanlations are pretty good compared to the mini cooperty translations in an actual manga that I bought. Besides, I can't really understand Japanese. (:
