Is there anyone attending FIDM in San Francisco? Any koreans, perhaps?
Where would you recommend housing for off campus? I heard that somewhere in downtown is good.
Is Japan town a safe place?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to hear about your experience as a student at FIDM.

Hey!
I actually attend FIDM's San Francisco campus and absolutely love it there! FIDM was the best choice I made and they had campuses in L.A and Orange County and San Diego but San Francisco was super perfect for me! I love how diverse it was when I walked on campus for a tour and yes there are Koreans here and as a matter of fact my new best friend is Korean. Personally, I think FIDM has a lot of students from around the world and it is great to have so many different people with so many talents at the school! I go to class and I am amazed not just by what I learn from my FIDM professors but from my friends and people in class all the time! I am in the Visual Communications Program and my friend is in another program but we always meet up in our General Requirement classes so its not a big deal. I actually applied for housing and the FIDM Housing Director here at San Francisco really helped me find a place and FIDM roomates too so I didnt have to live with "strangers." She actually had all these apartment buildings that house FIDM students which was cool too! Another great thing is that most of the apartments are near campus so getting to class is super easy! The people here at the campus are super understanding that I came from another country and that I needed some guidance and I know I can always go to them with questions and suggestions about places to eat, shop and visit on my weekends. One of my new favorite places to visit is actually Japan town and it is a safe neighborhood that I have walked with friends in at night and during the day and is only like....2 miles from campus. Oh! and another thing about going to FIDM is that so far I feel I have learned more than I could have learned at any other school and it is my dream to be a Visual Designer one day! You have to visit and talk to an advisor at FIDM soon if FIDM is the school you are looking at. It was love at first sight for me and I really feel this is where I belong!
