Well,it's just pasta with melted cheese on top.You know baked rice right? Baked pasta is just pasta instead of rice. You'll need pasta, preferably not the noodle kind(spaghetti etc.).I usually use those that looks like a tube( I forgot the name)or those spiral ones are fine as well.As for the pasta sauce,I use ready made ones in a bottle(there are many kinds, just choose the flavour you like). For the ingredients in the pasta, you can use anything you like. For me,I put in minced pork and white button mushrooms.Sausages are fine as well. And the cheese, use shredded mozzarella cheese.
-Please measure everything for the amount of people you're cooking for before starting to cook.)
So first, finely chop some garlic(about 3 or 4 cloves for 2 people).Remember to take the skin off before chopping. Then, dice the mushrooms into small cubes.Put the minced pork somewhere you can easily reach while cooking. If you're also putting in other ingredients, then prepare them as well.
1.Cook the pasta first.Boil some water,it must be enough for every single pasta to be completely submerged. When the water boils, add in some salt. Then add the pasta.Read the instruction at the back of the pasta package for the time you need to cook it.To know if it's cooked or not, you'll have to take a piece out and eat it.If the texture is fine for you, then you can take them out,if it's not, then cook it longer. When pasta is done, drain it and leave it aside.
2.Preheat your oven at 220 degrees for 10 mins.
3.Turn on your stove on medium heat.Pour a little oil in the pan(about 1 1/2 tablespoon) and wait for about 5-7 seconds for the pan and oil to heat up .Next, put in your chopped garlic and fry.Garlic burns very easily,so do not cook it for too long.Once you put the garlic in,you should almost immediately smell the garlic,so,once it starts to very slightly turn brown, pour in your minced meat and start frying them.DO NOT BURN YOUR GARLIC or the whole dish will be bitter. If unfortunately, you burnt your garlic, throw it away and wash the pan before starting again.
Fry the minced pork and garlic until about half cooked.(which means, you can still see a little redness in the meat but most of them are cooked.)Now,throw in your diced mushrooms. If you're putting in sausages, you can put them in as well.Mix them a little, then cover the lid and let it simmer for a while(about 10 seconds).Add a little bit of salt and pepper if you want.
3.Once everything is cooked, add in your pasta sauce(you don't have to add in the whole bottle, just enough to cover everything.)When the sauce starts bubbling, you can turn off the stove.Pour in the pasta that you've drained and mix it around with the sauce. When you're done with it,You can pour everything into the bowls you want to serve with.(Please use china-wares or at least something that can withstand being baked in the oven)Cover the top with the shredded mozzarella cheese and put them in the oven for about 10-12 mins or until the cheese has melted and you can see that a crust has formed on the cheese. And with that, you're done.
I'm no chef, but I think this is a fairly easy dish for someone starting to cook as long as you're careful with the garlic.
