Firstly have you taken the needle yet?
Who here is actually scared of the swine flu?

I live in Australia, the outbreak here isn't that extreme, so there is no swine flu shock

Anyways, just a few interesting facts

QUOTE
10 Things the CDC and our government doesnt want you to know.
Ten things you're not supposed to know about the swine flu vaccine

#1 - The vaccine production was "rushed" and the vaccine has never been tested on humans. Do you like to play guinea pig for Pharma? If so, line up for your swine flu vaccine this fall...
http://www.naturalnews.com/Big_Pharma.htm

#2 - Swine vaccines contain dangerous adjuvants that cause an inflammatory response in the body. This is why they are suspected of causing autism and other neurological disorders.

#3 - The swine flu vaccine could actually increase your risk of death from swine flu by altering (or suppressing) your immune system response. There is zero evidence that even seasonal flu shots offer any meaningful protection for people who take the jabs. Vaccines are the snake oil of modern medicine.

#4 - Doctors still don't know why the 1976 swine flu vaccines paralyzed so many people. And that means they really have no clue whether the upcoming vaccine might cause the same devastating side effects. (And they're not testing it, either...)

#5 - Even if the swine flu vaccine kills you, the companies aren't responsible. The U.S. government has granted drug companies complete immunity against vaccine product liability. Thanks to that blanket immunity, drug companies have no incentive to make safe vaccines, because they only get paid based on quantity, not safety (zero liability).
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31971355/

#6 - No swine flu vaccine works as well as vitamin D to protect you from influenza. That's an inconvenient scientific fact that the U.S. government, the FDA and Big Pharma hope the people never realize.

#7
- Even if the swine flu vaccine actually works, mathematically speaking if everyone else around you gets the vaccine, you don't need one! (Because it can't spread through the population you hang with.) So even if you believe in the vaccine, all you need to do is encourage your friends to go get vaccinated...

#8 - Drug companies are making billions of dollars from the production of swine flu vaccines. That money comes out of your pocket -- even if you don't get the jab -- because it's all paid by the taxpayers.

#9 - When people start dying in larger numbers from the swine flu, rest assured that many of them will be the very people who got the swine flu vaccine. Doctors will explain this away with their typical Big Pharma logic: "The number saved is far greater than the number lost." Of course, the number "saved" is entirely fictional... imaginary... and exists only in their own warped heads.

#10
- The swine flu vaccine centers that will crop up all over the world in the coming months aren't completely useless: They will provide an easy way to identify large groups of really stupid people. (Too bad there isn't some sort of blue dye that we could tag 'em with for future reference...)

The lottery, they say, is a tax on people who can't do math. Similarly, flu vaccines are a tax on people who don't understand health.

Baxter patented the “swine flu” vaccine two years before outbreak of “novel swine flu” virus.

I'm not a big 2pm fan but...

It's a conspiracy!!

Yea.. That about sums up my opinion of this thread.
Alot of the stuff you said is actually true, but it's positioned to make it sound worse then it actually is.
The person who wrote it is very obviously anti-gov, and anti-big business. You might not be a conspiracy nut,
but the person who wrote it quite obviously is.

That said, I only got the regular flu shot, and that was only because they were doing it at my church and
my mom told me to do it so the youth group kids wouldn't be scared (i'm college)
I'm not really scared of the flu... I don't get sick (I don't even remember the last time I had so much as a cold)
so... yea.
honestly... you're not half as special as you think you are.

Some of the facts sound old...
So far so good in big majority (millions of people already took the shot)... but there's always side effects to some people.

"Neurological disorders", that's a possibility found in any kind of flu shots... but a possibility that has been greatly reduced in the recent years, compared to many years ago.

I heard of presence equivalent to mercury found inside of swine flu shots... Things that make people to expect side effects already, but not a big permanent side effect.

I have connections with scientists/researchers themselves. 1 out of 10 of them had a shot. Others were just waiting to see how effective the shots are, even makers of the vaccines. I agree on the part that people seem to be used like guinea pigs BUT they had to release those things as quick as possible and their current anti swine flu formula was the best they could do in short time, making sure it won't cause any harm to humans. Why they had to do it quickly was because of the quick increase of swine flu victims so they had to find a way to release the vaccines as quick as possible too. It is sadly important for people to take the shots to reduce the possibility to spread the swine flu around the planet faster. It's worth their sacrifice, but very sad for the very few who died or got permanently paralyzed by the shots.

At first, those scientists and researchers said that those shots were released so quick they weren't 100% sure how good the vaccines are (but it is NOT something they said in public)... They were really more like 50% sure. But they had to find a way to convince the public to take the shots because it's either that OR let the world spread the swine flu faster. So this is why they said "It's really good" in PUBLIC while we can't see microscopically if their palms are sweating while they said that (because it may turn into lies if the results are not true). Conspiracy? Not even worth discussing about it. Pathetic to even say to everyone to not take it. We just gotta understand the situations, people.

You get what I mean? So far, the percentage of what those scientist/researchers are believing is probably at 80% by now, after seeing the results from millions of people who got the shots. It's giving them a better confidence at saying how good the shots are. It's your choice to still not take it. But we may thank people who took the shots for us as it reduces the chance of spreading that virus anywhere near us. If you work in hospitals, maybe you should take it.

the problem is, where i live in, which is B.C. in Canada, everybody is pressured to get the shot.
i don't know, if i ever do happen to get H1N1 i think i'm good enough to fight it off.
but vaccines ALL have sideeffects on some minority, regardless.

I got the attenuated H1N1 shot like a month ago and I'm fine so far. I didn't want to take it at first but it is required by my school since i have patient contact in the hospital.

It can make you get autism? We studied autism to the bone in psychology, I wasn't aware things could cause it... xD

My mum had to get the shot as she's a trainee nurse. She's currently working in hopsitals so she had to take it. She seems perfectly fine.
Anyways, swine flu got really hyped up, looks like the vaccine is too. Things always appear worse than they usually are, thanks to the media.

Ofc, it's still a big thing, just not super omg we're all gonna drop dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thing.

I'd prefer if I got swine flu, actually. My immune system will only benefit from having gotten it.

I got the swine flu vaccine about 2 weeks ago. 3 days after I got it, I got sick. It wasnt the swine flu just like cough and cold. But they even tell you when you get it that theres a possibility that you can get it cause it takes 14 days for your body to form anti bodies against the swine flu but its the best defence against swine flu. And after you get it, they hold you for 30 mins just to make sure you have no serious side- affects. My arm hurt for like 3 days. It felt worse than the season flu vaccine. Honestly, I wouldnt take it again.

Is it seriously necessary to scare the young Soompiers like this? They read this and are now probably refusing to take the shot. Of course people should be aware of the side effects but side effects come with EVERY vaccine. The way the text posted is written makes it seem like the vaccine is basically going to destroy you ... but of course, not before PARALYZING you.

I'm no doctor or anything, but haven't many (if not all) of the people who have gotten serious side effects had previous medical conditions and diseases that combined with the vaccine MAY have resulted in such a condition? For most people, the common side effect is having slight pain in the arm, a fever or a cold for a few days. Most of my co-workers (and their families) and my friends have gotten the vaccine and are just fine now. One of them ended up having a stubborn fever for two days but that's about it. Maybe they were all just extremely lucky? lol

I was scared of taking the vaccine first because I kept reading crap like this everywhere but in the end, I decided to trust what the doctors recommended and what my mother, who is a nurse, wanted. I got the vaccine last week. It wasn't a big deal to me and taking the shot didn't hurt either. I felt like I had a tiny bruise on my arm for one day but that's it, and I haven't gotten any side effects whatsoever. A few young, healthy people are among the swine flu patients in the intensive care at my hospital so more young people are getting the vaccine. I was lucky there was still some left when I showed up. I'm still going to use hand sanitizers 24/7 but at least I won't be so paranoid as to scream "OMG SWINEFLU!" and jump out of the bus when someone coughs/sneezes closeby, lol.

I'm not saying everyone has to get the vaccine or you'll die a slow and painful death!!!111 I understand that people are scared when there's so many made up horror stories about it ... but at least be aware that it's not poison they're injecting in you, it's a protection. Good luck to those who decide to get it AND to those who don't. Either way, let's all hope the swine flu dies down soon (without bringing more victims along with it)!

I got the nose mist thing. I'm fine. Everything is hyped up. Trying to scare the public. I could care less for the H1N1 right now.
People should listen to the doctors and scientists, get some facts and they can decide for themselves. Don't let newscasters and lousy columnists influence you.

I only got it cause it was free. Arm was painful for days but I'm fine. I imagine the vaccine is relatively safe for most people.

I don't believe in vaccines.
I believe in being healthy and making sure I get all the nutrients/vitamins that I need o_o and someone out there reading this is going "VITAMINS ARE GOING TO HELP YOU SURVIVE H1N1" but oh, they will.
chemicals mess with your body, man....not cool.
