uhh i hope posting a topic about this is ok.
but i was wondering, in regards to UCs, if going undeclared would be better than a bio major.
because my major would be molecular and cellular biology/biology related..and i hear there are waaay too many of those..so even if you have the qualifications, you may not get accepted because of your declared major.
and then i also hear undeclared is not good either.
so, what? put a major i have no plan in pursuing? or put a major that im interested in but will most likely switch out of later?
im at a complete loss over this..this may seem trivial to most, too..

just go undeclared... freshman it really does not matter. I know that if may look dull that you are going undeclared, but if it helps with the application process, do it. Freshman year, you will most likely be taking required electives, english, math courses. its a myth that going undecided is a bad thing. in fact, universities encourage students to go undecided first before declaring a major.

I don't know how UC's work but at my school, even if you put down a major on your application, they still put you down as undecided because technically you can't formally declare your major until sophmore year (for us.)
