well lately i have been seriously thinking about taking the G.E.D. test to get out of High School to go to a J.C. and then transfer to a UC. Like i really don't know what to do because the reason why i want to get out of high school is because i really dislike the school environment and their system. And also i think i want to take it just in case i get a C because if i get a C college will look bad on it don't they? and also i feel that there is really nothing to do in highschool but just the unimportant classes left? i know that i will lose out on my whole high school experience but i rather go take my G.E.D. right after my sophmore year if i get bad grades or iono really because just thinking about it i don't want to go to a bad school or a JC if i do all four years of high school knowing that i could have done the G.E.D. and go to a jc before if i get some really bad grade that won't let me go to the UC of my choice. well iono what to do really i need two questions

1. if you get a C in a honor class and a couple of B's what would colleges think of it?

2. if you were in my position would you take the G.E.D.?

well I've had a lot of Bs, never had an honor class (unless you count Enrich English) and DID have a C in about 2 classes throughout my high school year but....

I did get into a 4-year college (CSU)

I suggest you don't take your G.E.D and just finish high school because that's a lot easier (just long I guess). Colleges aren't so strict with accepting students unless you're applying for a university. You can always start off with a community college and then transfer, or if you think you can get into a state college, go for it.

I had an average gpa of 3.2 or so with a SAT score of NOT EVEN 1,000 (it was around a 980). If you compare it... if your gpa score is high, your SAT score doesn't have to be extremely high and vice versa (but you should do your absolute best lol)

Just going for your GED will be complicated I guess... my bf has to pay $100 to take his GED test and the thing that sucks is that if you dont' pass, you gotta pay again (of course). Plus, dropping outta school wouldn't look so good for your college compared to getting a low grade in your class.
