I was wondering if this was a monitor worth buying.

It had really good reviews on NewEgg and I wanted to ask all you computer experts if this is an above level lcd flat panel monitor. I don't play games much but I am buying it cuz of space, and want to get rid of my old CRT.

samsung sure does make some great displays at a good price.. but 17" isnt too small? 19" or 21" would be great overall for games, movies, etc.

yep, 8ms is real good..although things at that rate tend to have a washed out look... however samsung in general makes great lcds. I don't like NewEggs dead pixel policies..its pretty bad.

yeah newegg isn't as good as it used to be. yep their dead pixels policy is bogus, i ordered stuff off newegg and zipzoomfly on the same day, the latter arrived a day earlier, whereas newegg's always arrive on the third day or later. what suprised me the most was that zipzoomfly has FREE shipping, WOW!! i think it's because FEDEX is always ahead of schedule whereas UPS is always behind. biasly speaking.. BUT newegg still has EVERYTHING!! more variety and stuff.. anyone here know a good site besides the two i listed above where you can order computer parts and the likes? so hows that monitor?? is it here yet??

i'm not sure whether or not newegg removes negative reviews or not, but i still see some bogus reviews, mostly coming from people who didn't even bought the product, but there is still question about if newegg does enforce an auto filter in there review which i think they do. i.e. can't post a dollar amount. lol.

samsung in general does make good LCDs so yea. good choice.

samsung is the #1 lcd manufacturer so by all means go for it.

newegg has been great for me.. I ordered my Benq lcd from them in december and it arrived in like 18 hours after i clicked "order"..
no rush order, shipping via UPS 3-day.

crts are best for gamers so get the lcd. it looks nice also.
