so i'm applying to the University of Texas-Austin BUsiness honors college, and i need two letters of rec due BY FEB 1.
i got my english teacher and my internship sponser to write it, but my internship sponser is out of town on a business trip...
what do i do..i know i'm not going to make deadline. i don't think any other person knows how i'd fare in terms of business(which is what the letter is supposed to address)
I was thinking about asking my old boss, but he's my OLD boss... and it's really REALLY short notice.. like i'd need the letter by tomorrow...
help!!!

in my experience, recommendation deadlines aren't set in stone. Get it to them as soon as possible and don't worry too much if it's a few days late. They never care..matter of fact i sent in most of my actual applications late and they still accepted me so there's that

a friend of mine applying for the honors business program
called UT (of austin) yesterday, actually,
to ask about deadlines.
all applications and recommendations must be sent by 5:00PM on feb. 1.
no exceptions.

What? Are you applying to an honors program, or something? Because UT doesn't require rec letters unless you're applying to certain honors programs. o_o.
*looks up* oh, okay, um, nevermind. >_<
And since it's past the deadline... err, I hope you figured out a way??

Good to hear! ^^. Good luck with the admission process, then. I applied to UT too. Do you know when they make their decisions?
