recieved a 89.5 in english III honors. but she wont round up. anyone had an experience like this before. it makes me feel miserable. tried really hard in that class...n like one of my only honor classes that i could recieved an A in. *sigh* so unfair.

the worst thing is, my lab partner who never tried, fell asleep in class (EVERY single class), and copied labs/hw ended up with a 79.6, which is a B. I was so damn pissed at her because I had actually tried in that class and we ended up with the same grade. asdflkjasdl;kfj

whoa that sucks. but i guess you can't really do anything about it. my apush teacher rounded up grades if you had even .1 and if you had a 9 in the units digit, she would round up too. so if you had like a 98.1 you would get a 100 haha.

ahh yeah exactly! and like 89.5 is even closer to an A than a B.....i wanted to fall into tears too.

but like. my french AP teacher...i had like 89.1. she rounded up wth. i guess it depends on the teacher.

but like really. what does it hurt a teacher to give u one grade up??? when ur soooo damn close. give us a darn break. its not like they have to limit themselves how many A's, B's...etc. sighz.

it's not unfair at all. im sure you knew that anything less than 90 is a B from the beginning of the semester. the teacher has no obligation to round up, although it really does suck.

my calc teacher is so nice... i got 67 and she somehow rounded it up to a C =_=;;;

but my chem teacher was mean T__T i got 78.2 but she wouldn't round up... the finals completely destroyed me =_=

ah...yeah I know that feeling. My friend once had an 89.9% and our teacher didn't round up =/

i know how you feel. my teacher's reasoning was that "if i give you 1 more point then i will have to give everyone else a point extra." my answer was ok i don't care if other people get 1 point extra as well. i just want that extra point. i swear she hated me because every time i would always end up with a 79. how is it that likely that i can get a 79 everytime. what a poop

that sucks. my teachers usually round up if i'm 0.5 away but some teachers are just so strict and uptight.

well if u had gotten a solid letter grade instead of borderline it wouldn't matter now would it
its all up to the teacher...dont hate them for his/her standards

If your teacher gives you an 89.5, then other students will say "What about 89.4? ... 89.3..." and it will go down. She is not being unreasonable at all.

My teachers round up like crazy for our last year of highschool. Both my data and bio teacher rounded me up 2 percent. It reallllly sucks though that you're so close to a 90.
