Lineage II is okay, the action's just a tad bit too slow for me.

I just started playing Lineage II and I'm not quite strong yet. I wish there were some players so we could start a soompi clan or something, LOL

You'll soon realize the game's not even worth playing.
Too many farmers/botters messing up the entire game. Not worth your time, especially since the grind is insane on L2.
On top of that, the game's really messed up, especially with the coming of C4. A mage with 4k M. Attack is kind of stupid if you ask me.
I played on server 3, Kain. My treasure hunter is probably still being used by my old clan mates.

^ ^^Oh, I play on server 8 and it's not quite as full as the other servers. I just want to take down some castles soon. I'm also only on lvl 28 and I just got a few people helping me out with partying up. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll try to keep playing a bit longer so that I can get strong enough to particpate in the castle seiges.

LOL, 4k M.attack does sound stupid. My gosh, right now I"m having trouble attacking over 800. BTW, what is grind, don't quite understand all of the lingo that comes with this game yet.

mob = monsters
lfg = looking for group
ftw = for the win
ww = wind walk
Kite = attack then run

and a few other ones I see from here and there.

had a bd 50, i had to killmyself to get to that level, grinding is horrible

just downloaded it and playing the Lineage 2 Extreme version (the free one) any tips on what characters are good (or if this is one of the few mmorpgs that has balanced chars). I personally like range and speed

grind is like..how long and how hard it is to get to the next level or how hard it is to get something done..ie it takes too much time.

some other useful terms for you
tank = the warrior who's supposed to take all the damage from the mob
agro = agression - when a monster attacks someone
pulling = when someone attacks a monster to lure him to his / her group
train = when a large amount of monsters start attacking someone and he runs for it, causing even more monsters to follow him..usually when this happens you're supposed to shout OMGZ TRAIN RUN BITCHES!! or something along those lines to warn other players...
kill steal / stealing = to kill a target another person is already attacking or camping
camping = to sit on your ass in one spot for a long period of time to farm loot
farm = to repeatedly kill something in a certain area to get it's cash or items

there are tons of lingo like that..haha

I'm using a Dark Elf, currently lvl 35 and using a crafted daggar. Using a bow for D class is too expensive, I just couldn't afford it. You should stick to either a sword if your a knight, or a daggar if your goign to be an assasin as a Dark Elf fighter.

And thanks for a few of the lingo words, I always thought that train one is crazy funny! LOL!

Lineage II was realli fun when it first game out, before even chronicle one. The community was nice, ppls were mature (atleast in my server), and i met bunch of nice korean ppls and were in a strong guild... however that pace died very quickly, and after lvl 60 the grind is like...

ugh i dont know how it's like now, but back then you needed a full well balanced party to actually lvl up past 35 or so. I hated how i always had to look for parties to lvl up, solo was impossible unless you were a rich silver ranger. grinding with full parties 24/7 was way too time consuming, and the made the armors and weaps all retarted so i quit and came back to lineage 1

hahahha man. i played for like.. a month in my last year in high school. a bunch of guys in my physics class were always talking about it. i gave in and tried it. it was addicting at first. the graphics and music were quite nice.

i'll never forget the stupid lingo's that were nearly impossible to understand if you're not a gamer.

eg. TANK
-i was hunting in deep in a cave with one rl friend and one newly acquired friend. the new friend told me to TANK while she was getting attacked. then she died. then my rl friend died. then i ran away. hahahha if anyone cares to know, i reached up to level 23 before my computer crashed and i never bothered to re-install the 5gig game again.

ps. tank means to take all the hits from monsters that are attacking your hunting crew
