Bedifferent, I finally got time to watch those videos you posted. Wow, I agree. I love those festivals that he's able to have a mini concert and it's too bad they're not televised. They sure do a lot of these mini concerts/events! I wasn't aware that there were so many until now because LSG was never limited in music programs in previous years. The dearth of televised offerings made me go to other means (fancams). The whole fiasco made me realize how busy these artists really are and why they're always running off to the next scheduled event.

ivey79 pretty soon we'll see scarf, hat and glasses all at once! Aww, but the glasses look so adorable on him. They remind me of the ones I used to have....in elementary school...

o51029, thanks for those oldies but goodies. I hadn't seen those before. I'm so used to Seung Gi surrounded by guys, that it was a little funny seeing him posing with a girl. So closely too! He looks darn good, but I coulnd't help feeling... jealous? no... protective... yeah. hee hee. Lay your paws off him! Just by looking at his nicely built arms and hair and all, guessing around conceret time last year? Very cute. He doesn't do too many adds and profesional shots like these so it's cool to see them. Especially since they dress and fit him up into a different image. I like seeing him like that.

Haha, Ivey79 unnie, I felt the same way too To which I felt silly for feeling even remotely jealous/overprotective. Thanks and enjoy your summer too unnie! Gee, you're happy to feel the sun while i can't wait for some clouds to take over, what a contrast, hahaha. Its sunny 365 days a year here, so the weather is either madly hot, or its raining, no exceptions. Its so hot and humid here now that everyone wears beachwear everywhere here, LOL. I can imagine if the boy ever does pop by here, he'd go crazy with his whitening regime. Oh, and I agree the glasses are cute. What a dorkycutiepie.

*waves* Hi zangly & glitzyglam! Thanks zangly for the links. I had a great time watching the happy together episode. And OMG, I can't believe LSG does the same thing too! I've thought for my whole life that I was the only weirdest kid who sang in lifts, and i was SO embarrassed at my reason why. I live on the second last storey of my really tall block, and when I was young, I was terrified of taking the lift alone. Someone decided to scare me for life by telling me that the ones from the other world love to lurk in elevators, and so whenever I had to take the lift alone, I'd push myself in one corner of the lift (where I could see everything clearly in case something DID appear, hahaha) and sing really loudly. It was quite embarrassing because sometimes the lift door would open and I would still be singing, and the people waiting for the lift would all give me baffled looks. The only difference is I still sing in the lift these days, not because I'm afraid but because its the best place to hear myself loud and clear . Talk about having something in common man. Now, I know the fear of ghosts, height and dark is universal, and it prompts kids to do really funny stuff. HAHAHA!

Right, hopefully this will be my last installment of 1N2D for this looong episode. eequeezee, you should really consider doing subs! Its a bit late to say this, but I really love reading your translations. KBS world cuts WAYYY too much out, AND they tend to cut out LSG's funny moments pretty often too. Been getting a lot of annoyed messages from people annoyed at all the edits. I'm annoyed at KBS world too, a lot is really lost with their liberal editing.

KHD the cameraman
Its late and everyone is exhausted. KHD steals the camera and starts filming the sleeping crew (revenge time maybe? hahaha) and he pinches this poor VJ awake Next he goes over to catch the sleeping audio team on tape. He zooms into the pink audio team guy's chin.
KHD: MC MONG! (resembles)
Poor guy wakes with a start.
KHD: Is it tiring?
Guy: I'm dying!
Its hard for ALL of them, really. Kudos to the entire crew.
KHD goes over to disturb the PD, who's sleeping soundly.
KHD: We are fast approaching 12am now, and this is (the PD) in the midst of sleeping at 11pm!
He then goes over to LSG, who puts on the hat again (darn!)
KHD: Really.. anytime you look at him, he's still really handsome.
LSG: Hahaha.. aiee you shouldn't come so close (with the camera) hyung..
KHD: Wahh... and (turns his camera to KimC) Time to close your eyes!

They start laughing madly, and KHS asks him to wake up, LOL.
MCM knocks his head on the mike
MCM: Aishhh, I wish we could get rid of all these mikes. Argh, this wretched fella the mike!! This wretched fella the camera! Aiooo!
And so they all sleep. At 3am, the bus stops for fuel refill, to which KimC and EJW get down and think they have a chance to sleep (on ground), but they are disappointed to find that the bus is setting off and they can't sleep on the ground and must return to the tiny and uncomfy bus seats. Poor things. they show all of them sleeping helter skelter. Someone once mentioned that LSG looks proper even when he sleeps. Totally agreed, hahaha. Great image

Waking up
The guys wake up (no wake up song this time!) and get down to cleaning up. As usual LSG is scrubbing his face hard with water.
KimC: I don't wash up when I'm on the show.
LSG: Huh?
KimC: I don't wash up, when we're on the show.
LSG: You should wash up you know, even if we are on the show..
KimC: Well, our melancholy, our hardships.. I want to just show them all on my face like this.

I had such a good laugh watching your two most recent uploads. Never did watch Nonstop 5. I was going through lsg.ifensi files and literally LMAO at some of the show's skits. Yes, LSG has come a long way since his early years. Go Hae is best sung with his husky voice, like the way Tei does it. Isn't it so adorable seeing GSH & LSG together? Luv them both. sarangaia, aww, you're welcome. I think praise should be directed toward the other You Tube uploader (o51029) who has been doing much more for longer than I ever have. Wow thanks Sunlight, for the screen caps! I sooo want to watch 1N2D now, but I have to work overtime tonight! So I can only watch it tomorrow night To clear things up about his age. Koreans follow the lunar calendar, which is one year ahead (for some odd reason that I have never been able to understand), which is why generally people add one year to their 'real' ages (according to international standards). But because he's born in January, which is before the lunar new year (lunar new year usually falls on febuary), 2 years should be added to his age, because he's considered to have been born in the previous lunar year. Not sure if you guys understand the concept though. Thus, even though the guy was born in 1987 and should be 21, he's considered to be 23 in Korea.

Ooh, this week's 1N2D is fun! I cried while watching it though, I'm a sap. LSG was so funny too! Oh yes, Vanny has posted a video on her youtube channel of her singing LSG's delete. Do check it out!

I'll be posting the rest of the stuff on last week's ep on my blog soon. Here's for this week's stuff. Please don't take it out without asking, I've been horrified to see my stuff being taken out without my permission, typos and all, and I'm bound to be making mistakes here and there now since I'm all groggy from my medicine..

080713 1 Night 2 Days
The base camp for today is at someone's house, and they set off eagerly there.
KHD: This is nice!
EJW: Is it that house?
MCM: Really, there's nothing here.. (yea, it is pretty bare there)
KHD: (outside the house) Excuse me.. Annyeonghaseyo!
Guy opens the door.
KHD: Hello, so nice to meet you, we are 1 night 2 days..
The guys greet the house owners. They're apparently koreans, not Chinese. I'm not too sure about the details, just saw it on the comments section on youtube, so take this with a pinch of salt. So KHD leads the guys into greeting the house owners with a big bow (which is rather formal), and this confuses the house owners, who have no choice but to follow suit (its basic courtesy i think ) CAptions here are HILARIOUS.
[they greet the (house owners) first] [bowing to us?] [? ?] [the forced bow, they have no choice!] HAHAHA
KHD: Just greet us comfortably.. (i.e, no need for the big bow, LOL!) Notice here, LSG gives a 90 degree bow. Have I mentioned how I adore the guy for being so polite and appropriate?
KHD: Are we disturbing you?
Mommy&Daddy: Aieee.. No, you are not! (the daddy is so awkwardly endearing)
KHD: We're not disturbing you? Let's get your son to introduce (the family) to us.
Son: Ok. (refers to his dad) Dad.
KHD: (paused for a second. maybe he doesnt know how to react to this really succinct introduction) Let's give a hand of applause for the Dad!
Son: Mom.
KHD: Let's give a hand of applause for Mom!
Son: Girlfriend.
KHD: HAHAHA!! Yah.. girlfriend eh.. applause! And?
Son: Sister.
KHD: Ahh, your sister. Applause!
Mom: She's currently in (Dae Sung) high school now..
KHD: Ahh.. so she's in high school now.. which year?
Sister: 2nd year.
KHD: Oh.. so how did you feel about 1 night 2 days coming to you house?
Mom: She was so excited, everyday!
KHD: Ooooh.. Who did you MOST want to see then? Don't tell us now, just come and hug the person you wanted to see most.
Someone in the background: Just go give the oppa you've been wanting to see most a hug.

The girl stands up and the other guys start remarking "Ah.. you see? AGAIN! AGAIN! Just look at this!" Yes, she picks LSG! No surprise here, haha. LSG stands up to give her a hug.
KHD: Mr Lee Seung Gi, you popularity is really great..
LSG: (shy but obviously happy ) Aiee... no hyung..
KHD: Hmm, then our daddy here, did you actually know what kind of a program 1 Night 2 Days is?
Dad: Yea!~
KHD: Do you know our faces?
Dad: I know your faces!
KHD: Oh!!~ (points to himself) Name?
Dad: Yea?
KHD: Name?
Dad: ... name.. Kim Ho Dong?
KANGHD starts cracking up because the dad changed his surname
KHD: (bowing) I'm Kang Ho Dong. And.. (asking him for KimC's name)
Dad: Man, I don't know the names. My wife watches (1N2D) regularly though.
KHD: Oh, then Mom, you give a try.
Mom: Kang Ho Dong, KimC, lee Su Guen (and he lets out an exaggerated WOAH!, LOL), Lee Seung Gi, MC Mong? Eun Ji Won? I watched the program well..
KHD: Ah, so that's it.. Dad, who did you want to see the most?
Dad: Kang Ho Dong.. Doing sirreum (wrestling)! I wanted to see that!
KHD: OOOH! In this case, Dad, you actually knew I was a wrestler back then?
Dad: Yea, I knew!
Yahhhh all the guys sigh in wonder.
KHD: Mom, so if we are going to take up (this room) in the house, where are the rest of the family going to sleep?
Dad: We'll go somewhere else. We'll be putting up outside the house!
KHD falls down again, and questions if the arrangement is ok.
Mom: We have many relatives in this area..
The guys: Ah... so this is the case..
KHD: Mom, sing us a song!
Mom: Ahh.. I really dont sing well..
The guys bug her to sing
Mom: Even if i don't sing it well, I'l still have to sing a few words..
The guys are happy to hear that. Mom starts singing. Apparently the song goes "You are the best..". It sounds like a really old oldie. LSGuen gets up to do his pepper dance again, LOL. Mom actually doesn't sing too bad! And our Huh-dang gets up to do his bounce routine.

Washing up
LSGuen: KimC hyung! Wash my feet.
He's getting the losers to give him some personal services, LOL
KimC: I'm not a slave..
LSGuen: What kind of talk is this? He's not gonna do it?
MCM: I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll wash for you..
LSGuen: Brush my teeth for me too.
LSG starts nonchanlantly brushing his teeth even when he hears LSGuen ordering the others to brush his teeth and wash his feet.
[a while later..]
MCM is brushing LSGuen's teeth!
[a monkey slave's teeth brushing service..]
MCM: Your tongue, hyung!
He sticks it out. MCM brushes it HARD, and causes LSGuen to gag, LOL. KHD then washes his face too at the small tap.
KHD: Come here, Suguen ah.. I'll help you wash up.
[the next slave KHD]
LSGuen sticks his feet out at a still busy face washing KHD. LOL, then KHD really starts washing his feet, after which he proceeds to wash LSGuen's face like one would wash a kid's face. He pinches LSGuen's nose to mimic how a parent would get his kid to blow his nose. And guess what? The funnyman REALLY blew his nose! He apparently blew and snot came out, which caused KHD to scream.
KHD: AHHHH!! HAHAHA! AHHHH!!! YOU ARE GONNA DIE, YOU!!!! YOU REALLY BLEW YOUR NOSE?!
LSG stands at the side in half disgusted amusement, and does this thing with his long, pretty fingers You can see he was a little disgusted, LOL.
LSG: Your snot even came to your lips, didn't it?
LSGuen: Ah, my snot really came out..
LSG gets all excited and a little disgusted too? HAHAHA. At any rate, he grabbed his hair again, LOL.
LSG: Hyung, can you pour some water on my hair for me once?
LSG then proceeds to give KHD instructions on pouring water on his head and hands him the shampoo too. The guy is so funny, he actually got into push up position to let KHD wash his hair! And he STILL makes noises when he gets his hair washed
LSG: Oh, Oh! (pour the water) above!
KHD was holding the pail below LSG's face then and he took LSG's words literally and splashed the water UPWARDS, onto the poor boy's face, HAHAHA.
LSG: Ahh! Stop it! Why (are you doing this)? Aie, I said above my head.. (stops KHD who's about to pour more water onto him) Wait, wait wait! (pour the water on my) hands, hands hands! Oh! AH! My eyes.. my eyes can't be opened now!
Meanwhile, KimC is brushing his hair, and EJW is watching in amusement behind him.
EJW: ooooh... sanchez!
KimC gets his guitar out and starts singing bessa me, while LSGuen acts like a country bumpkin passerby and tries to give KimC money, to which KimC doesnt even bother to accept. And other guys just keep laughing madly in the background. So what does LSGuen do? Kick KimC aside and close the door of course. Literally.

sarangaia: hope you feel better. Being sick sucks! Mucho gracias for the translations. So sweet of the family to offer their house to the crew. Yup, LSG's manners are great; it makes him stand apart from a lot of young performers these days. Wonder what was on the thank you letter that he left behind for the family. I'm surprised that the family did not take pictures with the cast. Hmm, think how popular you would be at your high school with a sel-ca of you and LSG. Anyways, hahaha, we can't have a 1N2D show without seeing the guys' personal hygiene drills. Su Geun is hilarious; the more slapstick the better in his eyes I guess. I did laugh out loud at KimC's iffy Besame Mucho acoustic version. He did look the part too. So funnayy. I love that he always has his guitar with him on every trip.

I teared up at the end of this episode; all happy and proud of what they have accomplished. I had high hopes for this Baekdusan special weeks ago. 'Ya know what, 1N2D didn't disappoint. It was the right mix of on-the-bus adventure, poignancy and humor. It drilled home the message in the most subtle way. Without having to be heavy-handed politically. This eppie was all about the human spirit. And our hope for peace and a better world. eequeezee, you're going to bawl out watching this one, I'm sure. BTW, hats off to the forgotten behind-the-scene VJs and crew for their unbelievable dedication and strength in filming this special episode. They were great under the most challenging circumstances.

Hey all. Happy middle of the week! Well, almost. As you can see I'm ready for the weekend already. =) Now where to begin..

Sarangaia, sorry to hear your not feeling well. Hope you get over it quick and make sure you get plenty of rest before you tackle any of the subs. Wouldn't want one resident translators to get burnt out. Cause then where would we be? As always thanks for all your dedication and hard work. Their conversations are always hilarious and I find that I'm appreciating LSGuen humor more and more. He's a lot slapstick, physical humor, but there's cleverness and wit in it and his timing is great. They all have such unique senses of humor, but yet they mix so well. KimC is awesome too. He's not afraid to laugh at himself and embrace his shortcomings, particularly his looks His latest bit as a mexican dude totally cracked me up too. And I always love to hear your extra commentary, especially when it's Seung Gi's bits. So cute and funny and it's great to hear another fangirl's thoughts.

o51029, thank you so much for those nonstop cuts!! I've always wanted to watch nonstop, but have never found the videos and honestly dl from Clubbox can be such a chore. I was laughing like crazy. It's cute to know even preppy Seung Gi can be so goofy and silly and put himself in such an 'ugly light". He was just 17! Sheesh, now THAT was maturity. I think he's very natural on screen and for a beginning did a really convincing job. I guess compared to some of the newbie Chinese actors I've seen, he's waay better. Not stiff at all, very animated. And agreed, Go Hae was awesome with his debut voice. Very raw and emotional. I also didn't know GHS could sing. She was not bad at all! Although I almost didn't recognize her. I think she's much prettier now and her face is more distinct. Very cute couple, wouldn't mind if they did a drama someday together. They both have that innnocent, naive and good goody feel.

Bedifferent..Yess!!! the boy is back! oh how missed his vests. For me, hands down, NO ONE wears vests like Seung Gi. The man just looks GOOD and he used to be so creative wearing them. With jeans, trousers, T-shirts, dress shirts, color, style. Hee hee. I'm just happy, thanks for the pics. I hope he's going to continue with this. I really wonder if he had to choose, what he prefers to wear and what his own style is. I don't get the feeling he's a flashy boy, so all the "spiffy" stuff he had been doing prior I just is not his.

I had been anticipating this weeks ep for soooo long. Seemed like it would never get to Sunday, but yeah.. It was really worth the wait. I didn't understand a lick of it, but the sentiment came through strong and clear. Watching them in awe at the sight of the waters and mountains was touching. Someone once told me that in the presence of the awesomeness of nature, you can't help but feel naken and bare, revealing your true inner self stripped of any pretense. I'm glad it was worth the effort for them. It was honestly quite a brutal journey for them and their staff. Poor Mong. He's been particularly quiet this whole trip and you could just see the exhaustion on his face. I'm so glad he didn't faint on the way up to top of the mountain cause that would have been such a waste of effort for him and of course I wouldn't want that to happen in the first place. He did make it to the top right behind Seung Gi. And the dear boy was sooo cute with the camera man. Oh to youth! Everyone else was about to die and there's Seung chugging along seeming only slightly winded and even running at the end! Talking, smiling and even checking on his hyungs. It funny he took over for the poor camera guy who couldn't keep up. I could only imagine how hard it was for the staff to carry all that equipment. It also brings me to one the things I really like about this show. I really love how they've managed to include the staff on a regular bases. In every ep I never fail to remember that just behind the camera is the PD, Mc Mong's manger, the lady with the big laugh, the lighting guy, etc... It's as if their secondary members of the show and cause it gives recongnition to the hard working staff too. It's really is a true reality show. Love it love it.

Sunlight, midsweet9angel, thanks for the pics. Hee hee, that bare pic of Seung Gi is interesting. For some reason I can't look at him topless. I don't see him as a sex symbol, so... some how it feels not quite right seeing him like that. Maybe if he bulks up a bit more and has more definition. But I think that's a pretty old pic and I think he looks like Rain. Someone's said that before right? His early day pics has some resemblence. Nonetheless, he is a cutie with that beanie.

Thanks bedifferent and ivey79 unnies! Sigh being sick sucks, I spent half the day sleeping away. At least the thought of coming back here for more 1N2D+LSG cheered me up I'll be sad when term reopens, won't have as much time as I would like to spend here. Ohswell, that's a long 3 weeks away from me, so I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

o51029 Thanks SO MUCH! Finally had time to watch the nonstop video and it really brightened my day. I've been searching high and low for those cuts on LSG, and I'd almost given up when there you were with the video on youtube! I agree with ivey79, LSG's acting chops are far better than those teensy taiwanese idols we have (no offence to anyone, I personally like a few myself, but its common knowledge that there's much to be desired of their cringe inducing acting..). The boy was quite natural, considering that was done when he was really young, with little experience. Ahh.. now to hunt down those elusive episodes on clubbox..

Chilling out
So country bumpkin LSGuen got tired of 'busker' KimC rejecting his money, and decided to shove him out of the way by giving him a great big kick and slamming the door shut behind him. Mexican Kim gets up smiling with his guitar, and speaks ever so relaxedly.
KimC: Yah.. you're gonna die... Lee Su Guen.
KimC is adorable in his moments, isn't he? After this little funny episode, the guys sit outside the door and chill.
KHD: PD, what time are we getting up tomorrow?
PD: We're getting up at 2.30am (!!!!!!) and setting off at 4am.
KHD: Hahaha.. do you know what time it is now?
PD: I have no idea.
KHD: Hahaha.. its 12am now! Why are we even (planning on) sleeping?
Its hard on the guys, even harder on the staff too. Hats off to them! Anyway, they all head of to sleep, winning sirrem team LSG+LSGuen+EJW in the house, KHD+KimC+MCM outside.

Prep talk
Ok, I'm not so sure about this part, can't really hear the guys clearly, so I'll try. Hopefully eequeezee can correct me when she sees this episode this week.
LSG: Will there be a time when I will laugh and look back at this?
EJW: Hm. [silence, then suddenly] Grandfather Seung Gi...
LSG: Yes?
EJW: Grandfather Su Guen...
LSGuen (in his grandfatherlu voice): Yes.. Thinking back about those days..
The three boys start muttering like as if they really were old.
LSGuen: KimC went last year right? (I'm guessing it means he passed on? LOL)
MUAHAHAHA, LSG and EJW start laughing like mad.
LSGuen: No matter how you look at us, he seems like the one who would go first..
EJW: Try thinking when Hodong goes..
LSGuen: Well, he sure ate a lot from then till now.. Thinking about the time we went to Baekdusan, really..
EJW: Aigooo.. Back then Hodong believed so much in his strength and ran like he was boiling (? i didn't understand this).. He had so much energy..
LSGuen: That was when he was DESCENDING Baekdusan! When we are reborn, maybe the two lands would have already reunited..
LSG: That's a wish? When will we be reunited..
EJW: Enough of reunification already!
They continue to chatter about how they'd be like in future.
LSG: (in his grandfather voice) Let's all shout together! 1Night!
KHD: 2 DAYS!!
They all wake up. KHD says he's got something important to tell the guys and gets them to go out of the house to the tent.
EJW: What's it again? Don't you see I'm dying? (haha)
Coming out of the house.
EJW: Its 12!!
KHD: Precisely.. so come out quickly!
EJW: Ah, you can just tell us tomorrow! We have 4 hours then..
KHD: (annoyed) COME HERE QUICKLY!
They all sit in the tent.
KHD: All right, we are coming to the end of all the complications, and tomorrow we'll be off to BDS at 4am. Since we are going to the Heaven Lake, the 1N2D team has prepared something for us. (unzipping his jacket) Don't be too shocked. From now on its gonna be 100% real. Real seawater from Dokdoh.
He produces the bottle, and the guys just stare on. I guess at that ungodly hour, they weren't in the right frame of mind to connect to its significance. Anyway, he then produces another 3 bottles of sea water, all taken by people from the respective islands. Obviously the 1N2D team has been planning very carefully for this for a long time. I was really really touched when I saw the little messages from the locals who filled the bottle. Such simple and pure well wishes.
KHD: We'll be pouring these into the Heaven Lake. What significance does this have?
EJW: I understand now. When these goes into the lake, its like a reunion.
LSG: So we have water from north, south, east and west from our country, and we are all together in the Heaven Lake, we'll all meet one day.
All the guys sigh in amazement. After some more discussion, they go back to their places to sleep.
LSGuen: I thought KHD was gonna play a joke on us.. but I turned out to be really touched..
Now the guys start getting really excited about their trip for the next day, and can't wait for it to come.

Waking up
Its 2.40am and we have LSG with a toothbrush stuck in his mouth, counting down.
LSG: WAKE UP!!!!!!~
MCM makes a wierd sound, haha. Anyway they all wake up and clear up, while LSG sits down to scribble furiously a thank you note for the family. I love the thoughtful gesture. He's just so appropriate and well behaved, this boy of ours. Hope he stays that way for a long time to come. They pack up and are about to leave.
LSG: Ah, I'm so going to pack less of a load next time..
HAHAHA. He's so funny with his ways. Dragging that huge luggage along As for the letter, this is what I could make out. "We express our heartfelt gratitude to you, so sorry for not being able to send our greetings to you before we leave. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Do contact us in Seoul! - KBS 1Night 2Days." And so, they set off to baekdusan.

Can't keep my eyes open anymore. Back tomorrow!
