So there's the error report.

Ok, I recently started having this problem about 1-2 weeks ago trying to play Day Of Defeat:Source, now it worked earlier for about a week and then all of a sudden when I tried to start the program up, I caught a glimpse of a blue error screen and it restarts right away. I don't know what's wrong, I just recently installed 2gb of ram into my computer about a week before it started messing up so it was running fine until now. I just tried installing CS:S and that didn't work either. Regular CS works so maybe there is some conflicting error within the Source engine? Any ideas?

BTW, I'm on a Sony Vaio FS760/W, it's brand new 1.8ghz, 2gb ram, 128mb(shared) graphics, everything is updated...

I have a feeling it has something to do with the ram.

EDIT:: so i configured windows to not instantly restart when it gives me the blue screen so I can see what's the problem. It seems that the new Nvidia Drivers do not seem to be working well at all with the Source Engine. I did some googling and other's are experiencing this problem as well. Another thing is that a graphics driver update came out but I can't remember if it crashed before or after I updated it.

Anyways, the problem is within the nv4_disp.dll

if thats teh case

use some older drivers like 77.77 or 77.72

also go google Driver clean to clean your old drivers off first so you can install it fresh.

then reinstall.
my friend just had this problem recently and that seemed to fix it.

if it doesnt work and doesnt let you install the new driver or anything then you might have to think about formatting.

I guess they create drivers for mobile GPU's since companies don't really focus on it.
