korean font on PC some shows, some doesnt

i joined this korean chat room but when someone types something in korean, its like messed up in that crazy font. that goes for some font on the website as well. is there a way i can make it so i can type/read in korean?

i tried to change the encoding to korean but it didnt do anything..


any suggestions?

not sure if it'll work but you can try...

start -> control -> date/time/language -> regional/language -> languages tab -> tick install east asian language (you might need your XP installation CD)-> click details -> click add and select korean -> click advanced and make sure "turn off adv. text serv." is unticked -> OK back to regional and language ->click advanced tab -> select korean for non-unicode programs...

you gotta have windows xp PRO for it to work. my computer is set for it biggrin.gif, no question marks or weird symbols replacing korean for me. biggrin.gif
