well it's the schedule registering time at my school
I'm going to be a junior next year
I'm having trouble deciding whether it's better to stay as a 4 year grad. or be a 3 year grad.

By my senior year there's going to be a lot of changes:
-no senior exemptions
-no senior off period
-no more block schedule changing to a full 7 periods a day

The only great thing left for senior year is prom

They've really taken out the perks of being a senior -____-
I was originally planning to be a December grad. for senior year.. but without block schedule I can't graduate during December anymore. By my senior year, I only have 2 more required classes I need to take in order to graduate, with 5 classes left over. So would it be worth sticking around for the 4 years or just graduating early?

I have a friend who graduated from high school in three years, and she didn't have any major problems in getting into college--there are so many nonstandard (homeschooled, or no high school diploma, or adults returning to school) students going to college now that admissions won't blink an eye at your age.

The major things to consider are the practical realities. In my friend's case, she graduated early in order to go to Parsons, a design school in NY. She realized that it wasn't where she wanted to be, so she dropped out in the second semester--and discovered that once she stopped being a student, she also stopped being automatically covered by her parents for healthcare, dental, etc., because once you're over 18, you can only stay on your parents' plan as long as you're a student. It was a nightmare for her and her family that cost thousands of dollars.

So I would say go for it, but just be aware that if you graduate early, you really need to do it with a sense of purpose and an awareness that there could be expensive consequences for realizing that you're not sure what you want to do afterwards.

I did not leave high school early, but I finished college in 3 years and graduated when I was 20. if you have any other questions about accelerated programs, feel free to pm me.
