Those two articles are horrible. They did not give him justice of who he really is. What the hell is Korea's Timberlake? And 'who still still doesn't speak English yet'?? For God sake! Can they write something nicer?

I also will have to agree with the pride thing. I myself feel sad not because they couldn't sell well, but because it's a punch on Rain's pride. What can we do, though, except to support him with whatever he's doing (and get as much recruits as possible, which I've tried to do the whole month now, but sadly, not a lot of people are interested in hearing music with lyrics they have no idea what's about)? I do think, however, that hiring Jamie King was a good thing.. and I'm grateful to JYPE for spending heaps just for Rain's training. And it's good publicity, because it means he gets the same lessons like the rest of the top pop stars does. Also, Rain changed his appeal from 'feminish' to masculine (although I don't know if he owes that to King) this time, and the concert looks extravagant and appealing, and I like the dance choreography and Rain's English script. But if those tons of equipment are costing them millions, then they could just do away with it. Rain's dancing and his team is enough to woo us. And the Sydney concert might be a huge blow in this tour (what with less than half tickets sold, inept promoters, and weak fanbase), but then again, at least he got himself a concert over Sydney, where he is virtually unknown.

Rain will take to the stage on Saturday at Acer Arena, where other top international acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beyonce Knowles have performed.

Korean news is a whole different side of story. I understand why, though. Hopefully ticket sales will go well. So far, how many have been sold?

Even though there were a lot of problems with the promotion, ticket selling, concert date/venue, etc, etc. I think that everything will go smoothly saturday...I mean, so what if the tickets are not selling very good..?! It's his first time there and they haven't really promoted Rain in Australia before too...Basing on reports from the fans at the airport and his little 'stroll' in the streets, i think he does have a 'strong' fanbased in Aus, and I'm sure that after this tour, ppl in Aus will have a good idea of who Rain really is and if it happens that he does a concert there next time, ppl will support him even more !!

So far, i'm very thankful of the fans there that have been promoting his concert everywhere, supporting him till the end...thank you Aussie Cloud !!

Yeah, thats a common theme that all the Korean news share, they often make whatever news it is, more exaggerated, more positive, than what it actually is.
I live in the states and am in college, so I get to speak with quite a few international Japanese students. And when asked about the real popularity of Korean singers in Japan, they said moderate to little. they said most fans are either Koreans living in Japan, half-korean, half-japanese or yes, some native Japanese but not comparably much. The students said only BoA can be called a popular non-Japanese star in Japan.

Overall, this is just like a notice/reminder. They will air "JYP ; New York Story" on KBS the 4/11/07 at 11 :40....i don't think it's really related to RAin...LOL -- They mentionned a certain audition too...ooo is he looking for new trainees ? haha =) Maybe J.Lee can give us a more decent translation ~~ JYP's a talented man...<3

As for his schedule, many of the ticket-buyers are sent an email. With you want to know about his whereabouts, you should join us in the Sydney thread (people always posts up the schedule as soon as they get them ^^).

u know what .. if you go to verandah bar tomoro night !! ( its a club) they're selling $250 ticketsf or $60 .. if yo ureally wanan go !! thats a really good price !! =)
