oh foO now the world cups over >.< the next ones in south africa? is it? i derno

yes it is.
I'm still trying to figure out how to find that list of the hotels that the players are staying at. *stalkerish mode* laugh.gif
Please don't forget me. { I'm going away. }
I'm taking a taxi to Kentucky where they don't even know all about me. I just need to feel s a f e.
I've got a thousand sweaters, and shoes, and paintings to hide the skeletons in my way.
But he said, "Slow down, slow down. Think it over, we've all got wretched closets, but silly girl pride kills more than Aids lately."
I said, "Come on, I thought it over. I don't wanna die here. I have no desire to get m♥rried."
Every night I pray for you, don't believe in heaven or that it could be a happy place.

^ I am not taking Zidane's side. I think both players were at fault but Zidane's action was far worse. he had the choice whether to act or not and he made the wrong choice. The responsibility for his action belongs to him and him alone. It was a rash, stupid reaction and he deserved to be red carded for it.

still, this doesn't mean he is not a great player and I did not loose my respect for him. It's like C. ronaldo - despite all the controversy and mistakes HE makes, I still think he is a great player. You have to take the bad with the good. No player is faultless smile.gif

- I am going to be 22 in the next world cup and fresh out of college! I think I might just be making a trip to South Africa in 2010 wink.gif And stalking the Portugese team like mad *grin*

I'm waiting for an explanation..and yes I'm still siding for Zidane.. I got much respect for him..
everyone who knows zidane knows he's not those type of person who gets mad easily, but when he does.. something big must have happen to make him ANGRY..I think that's how he got the name Zizou..for his sudden outburst

Yeah, but unlike C. Ronaldo, Zidane doesn't have another chance to redeem himself. Poor man. =(

^ Well, I personally think he doesn't need to do anything to redeem himself except for all that he's done throughout his career. Some have already said this and it will be said a lot more in the coming days and weeks, but you can't base Zidane's retirerment and career on just that last bit.

iono... but what zidane did surely deserved a red card...
i feel really bad for him that he has to retire in this way, but his status as a legend shouldn't cover up his mistake. alotta ppl seem to blame the italian player and don't realize the extent of zidane's conduct. but the funny thing is that the headbutt didnt even lead up from like a push or sumthing. it was like outta no where! and besides he's experienced and is the captain. no matter what the other player said, he should have known better, especially if he's the legend ppl claim he is.

^ I agree with you. Whatever Materazzi said, it doesn't justify Zidane's action. And he understood that when he was leaving the field sad.gif I'm sure he's suffering so much right now tears.gif Gosh, poor Zidane V_____V

True. But Zidane still commands a lot of respect and I think it would be silly for someone to completely loose respect for the man because of this. i just hope this isn't what he is remembered for. He's a great player.

C.Ronaldo...he doesn't even have respect yet. It's going to be hard for him to earn it in many people's eyes - although I respect him for his skills and how ADORABLE he is in interviews <3...I guess the last part doesn't belong under RESPECT though...okay. I respect him for his skills and LOVE him for being...well, him smile.gif

WHY WOULD YOU FEEL SORRY FOR ZIDANE!??
I mean, can you really justify what he did? Do you think he was being a good leader by slamming the crown of his shiny bald head into poor, defenseless Marco? It was completely out of NOWHERE! The game wasn't even in process! Personally, I think the reason for his headbutt was a combination of fatigue and his shoulder injury. He was probably just really frustrated. It was clearly intentional but at the same time I don't think he was in the right state of mind. Intentional but impulsive, I guess. Geez, Zidane looks kinda scrawny sometimes but he must be pretty powerful to knock down a 6'4 defender like Marco. In any event, I have to admit it was pretty damn hilarious in slow motion. laugh.gif

That hurts the most is that, Zidane glanced at the World Cup and he went off the field..as though it was his personal "goodbye" to the cup...that was just heartbreaking for me.....

Thanks Carol for the banner. Fleur rocks for making Owen look sexy!

that game was such a disappointment. I wish Zidane would've ended his career in different way. oh well, i still i think zidane is a legend...and i hope people will remember him that way, and hopefully move past it. However, i am curious as to what started all this...what did that guy say??

it was a good game though...i thought france played awesome especially in the 2nd half.

I'm still crying everytime I see a clip of him in TV..
they interviewed some of Zidane's friend and they're saying that the italian guy might have said something about zidane's religion... tsk tsk

why wouldn't you feel sorry..?/ If you were insulted about your religion..

When you find the article that CONFIRMS Marco said disparaging things about Zidane's religion, let me know.

best thing would've been to hold it in the anger, and win. a much better response than a headbutt. I don't think i'll get over this for a while.

and to the rest of Zidane fans, thanks for making my time here even more enjoyable!
