Okay, so I was originally going to EA to Stanford. I'm a legacy, but also an international student. (International students rarely receive financial aid) My parents really can't spend $50K a year on me, so they said that I would have to apply for financial aid. However, doing so would really lower my chances of getting in anyway, so my parents want me to ED to Princeton instead. Princeton is need-blind to international students, so if I get in, I'll get about 50% of my tuition covered.

Stanford has always been my dream school, and I'm just worried because if I do get into Princeton ED, I definitely cannot go to Stanford (and will never know if I would have gotten in or not, since I'll have to withdraw my application). However, I know that it will still be difficult for me to get into Princeton in the ED round anyway....what should I do? Do ED Princeton? EA Stanford? Or just do everything regular?

If money is a big issue for you and your family, I suggest ED for Princeton and see what happens.

money is a huge thing. and if u dont even think u have a great chance of getting into princeton, what makes u think u have a good chance for stanford? and plus, princeton is a really good school, so i suggest princeton

other way around? Princeton's harder to get into than Stanford. But I suggest Princeton simply cause they offered one of the best financial aid packages of any college.
