My cousin deleted most of my files on my comp, including the OLD aim. Now, I have to use AIM TRITON. I don't like it at all, and prefer the old aim.

Do you guys like it? opinions..

Also, does anyone want to send the old aim to me?

I'm just so used to the old aim, that triton gets confusing sometimes for me.

oldversion.com is also great for finding old versions of AM and stuff. I really hate new AIM versions...

man.. i tried using AIM triton for a few weeks... but it kept having problems...
the only thing that's good about it is a few more features and looks, which seem extremely similar to MSN messenger..

i would recommend the old versions

Triton looks cooler but they have so little fonts to choose from. There's little things that I'm really picky about.

It's just AIM, so I don't really care. MSN is better anyway.

search for AIM, and it has all older versions ever made. And it doesn't say "Canada" on them.

i LIKE aim triton. I'll admit it takes some getting used to because it is quite different, and they definitely made a point to BE different. But I think the benefits outweigh the trouble of getting used to it.

The interface is way cleaner, for one thing. All IM's open in the same window, and the away message doesn't create a new one either, and you can talk through your away message. There's also a feature of deleting already-sent IM's, in the case that you may have sent something stupid. If you ask me, things have IMPROVED. These are all practical improvements. All preceding versions only improved each year by adding more useless gaming features and advertisements. My guess is most people are just angry because they actually have to do some thinking now.

It's not perfect, I'll grant you that. One thing I dislike is how the "idle" status is shown through "zzzz" instead of dimming. I think the dimming is a lot easier to see. But I still think it's an improvement

aim triton lagged everything on my computer when i was using it....
which is why i switched back to using Trillian... i can have all my messengers in one...
