Does the rest of the school year really matter? I want to take it a little easy now since 1st and 2nd quarter grades are done. I don't plan on getting C's,D's, and F's but like keeping my GPA atleast above a 3.0

What are your plans for the rest of the year? Will you work hard like you normally did, or will you ride the year out?

And is it true that 3rd and 4th quarter grades are not really important?

been asked a lot, my view, they try to scare you with people getting admission rescinded, sure it can happen, but you have to do really really reallly really bad. But if you go to college and let's say you hate the place and want to transfer, then these grades could mean a lot.

I've heard that it doesn't matter, but if you've usually been getting good grades, then you don't just stop. I've been kinda trying to get senioritis, but when it comes to school work, I can't stop myself from trying.

But, when it comes to scholarships. Shoot, I'm so behind. ._.

It sort of matters. My friend's rank went from #3 to #2 last semester, and her friend went from #1 to #3 =D. That sucks since it's so competitive up there. O well, my year is a breeze.....

seriously. and you know, depending on how competitive your college is, it might not even matter. sure if you're going to the ivies or the top-tiers, you should at least keep up 3.0s, but with most state-schools, you have to do really bad to get your admission revoked.

my friend got like, less than a 2.0 his last semester, and didnt even send his final transcript. they didnt care.

stay in honor roll and you should be ok. i'm just gonna try and get above a 3.5 minimum, although 3.7 would be preferable.

Colleges can easily retract their decision to enroll you if you slack off too much in your 3rd/4th quarter. It really shows the character of a student.

well, i'm takin ap bio (1 more mp), ap stat, and french v for the rest of the year, so i'm tryin my best not to get D's -___- but yeah, i worry too about my acceptance getting retracted, but as long as you dont fail any classes, you're fine :]

im going to have to keep working hard since APs are coming up soon. As and Bs are fine. you'd have to do horrible (Ds or Fs) for a college to revoke your admission.

you're worrying about b's?! colleges won't revoke acceptance if you gets b's. you could get straight b's and i seriously doubt they'd say "sorry, we don't want you at our school anymore"

As long as you get 3.0+ and dont get D or F you're fine... AT least, that's how it is with the UCs and that's all the schools I applied to
