I'm using Megaupload to keep my .avi files online but I found out that they only keep them for 30 days unless you are a member. Are there any other websites where you can store your files like megaupload but not have them deleted?

hmm i think megaupload keep the file for 30 days after nobody start downloading.. so if people keep downloading it won't be deleted

but that was awhile ago.. i don't know about now.

i don't think there is any file hosting website that would keep your upload forever.. that is free

i was gonna recomment filefront.com too.. haha.. yeah.. i think they hold your stuff forever.. and you upload up to 1gig.. and you can have more than one files in there..

avi files are not the equivalent of a jpeg avi files are like a bajillion times bigger than a jpeg. even with a premium account on photobucket the max size you can upload is 1 mb. regular is about like 500 kb or something. i guess you can split the video into like over a hundred parts and then rename them with say .jpg and then upload each file and when you run out of space on your account you can create another one. but imagine how time consuming that would be.

I believe a couple members have had their files deleted and account suspended or something along those lines because they were uploading illegal stuff.

Do you expect it? You can't really expect it to last FOREVER for FREE...

You should just use MegaUpload/Sendspace and download at least once a month..

Filefront is kinda good. But I suggest you zip your files before uploading, just to be on the safe side of not getting your account locked. But you'll have to register to upload.

just change the extension. thats what i do, just change it .esd or whatever

So in other words... no uploading K Drama huh? I wanted to upload my Anime videos and stuff..

Changing the file extension sounds like a good idea but wouldn't they notice if your .esd is 350MB?

I still upload k-dramas.......it just that i change the name to just few letters.......i mean, if you make it really obvious with the title, obviously they would know that its a drama.....but there are games that are around 350 mb, i think
