Ok, so I'll start by saying my after school activities are getting crammed in.. I have to choose between Jazz Band, Tennis, and Track, the bad thing is, i want to join every one of them. My director basically forced me into Jazz band due to lack of players. My tennis coach does not know that I might quit tennis after this year.. The track coach is expecting me to come to practice. And next year, if I start jazz band, I cannot do any of those stuff, including cross country. So basically, my question is, should I do jazz band? If no, which should I choose? Tennis or track? Jazz band is all year, and cross country is in winter season, while track and tennis are in the same.. I had the same problem with football and cross country last year.

I'm not into orchestra, so I'd pick Track and Tennis.
Can't you do Cross Country in the fall, Indoor Track in the winter, and Tennis in the spring? Just remember to run (maybe 6-7 miles) every night after Tennis practice. Wait, that seems a bit too much. You don't HAVE to run during tennis, as you are exercising everyday instead of watching tv or something -- just run in the summer to prepare for XC, and XC will prepare for Indoor, and etc.
good luck!

Jazz band takes up the entire year. Tennis and track is in the same season, besides cross country.

If you're worried about what will appeal to colleges more, they like it if you're dedicated to something...if you love sports, do the sports and stick to them. If you love jazz band, do jazz band or whatever music class and stick to it. I hope that made sense.

if you already have some other music thing outside of school, then go for the atheltics. (and vice-versa).
that way you look dedicated AND you're well-rounded.

what do you enjoy doing the most? for me i would definitely choose sports over band stuff. if you choose sports then it's a decision between track or tennis. which are you better at? for me i would choose track since i prefer running. i'm not sure about your school but in my school track practice is a lot more grueling than tennis practice. tennis practice is pretty easy compared to track.
