the sound quality is clear, but imo it's just as good as the zune, ipod, or sansa.
the x-fi only boost the sound quality a bit, however, i didn't really notice much of a difference to be honest. only reason i got it was 'cus of the x-fi and that i was digging the audio track they had on the website, thinking all my audio tracks' quality would sound similar to it. wrong! ahah
next, the black buttons are kind of user-intuitive, but i normally use only the bottom 3 (previous, pause/play, forward). for some reason the play button sometimes work once and sometimes u gotta push a couple times for it to work. maybe it's just only with my mp3. Without the head phone, the sound is just loud enough from a short distance. good luck hearing much of anything if you're playing it in a park w/ other background noises.
also, i didn't bother with the usage of calender/contact/task list 'cus you have to import it from outlook.

This thing has a really nice audio sound when listened with the headset on. One thing to notice is that in order to continue the track from where u've left off, you have to push the back arrow button. i guess that's the only con for me. As for pro, the software is user-friendly. i can drag & drop audio tracks and create playlists from my computer and sync it onto the zune, nothing complicated.

it would be nice if it came with a v1. but anyways, here are the cons: 1/ the ugly alligator logo display whenever its turned on. 2/ this thing doesn't work too well with lots of movements. sometimes a little shake could switch it to recording mode. 3/ u have to use a program called 'shoqbuddy' along with manually add&drop for it to work.
pros: it works and it's cheap- about 1/10 the cost of my zune. furthermore, i can manually replace the battery whenever, which is something that's hard to do with other mp3s.
overall, i wouldn't really recommend it unless you want something verry affordable and don't mind doing the extra-steps that's shortly mentioned above.
