Samsung YP-T8Z
IPB Image

I'm thinking about buying this one but I wonder if it displays Chinese/Japanese fonts? I'm guessing it does, since it's Samsung, but you never know... Can the software convert a 300-700 MB video file? And lastly, does this scratch easily? I heard the iPod is very fragile and requires a case. Wondering about this one too. Sorry for so many ?s

thats a big difference lol. mine is about 1:1 ratio of the size after converting.

yes it does display chinese and japanese fonts (but you will need to set the whole OS in jap or chiense). yes it can convert large files (just it'll still be large @ 160X112 res).

and to answer your last question i've had my m3player for 6 months now and it still looks brand new =). it comes with a silicon case (but i dont use it.. my mashimaro bag has lasted me for all my mp3players). so in otherwords if you take care of it. it will look brand new. (even if you dont take care of it it does not scratch as easily as the nano).

it said on the site it displays 320X240 res. Thats the same as the ipod video which is a 2.5" LCD TFT screen. it's large compared to my samsung (with only a 1.8" lcd TFT)

Thanks for your help! Does that mean that I can't have multiple language display, just all Asian or all English? Hmm... that's not a big deal. I'm already scared to break the iPod nano w/o even buying it first laugh.gif

no problems. feel free to pm me if you got any more questions about it
Samsung YP-T8 > iPod Nano

you either have it in English , chinese or jap. But the weird thing is when you view the files they have the words in diff languages (like if you have chinese characters in chinese it will display) just it wont show ID3 tags. it will only show ID3 tags in other languages if it is set to it.

http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?sho...6&#entry1951416
the samsung one

but i didnt get it for 90 CD. i got it for like 150 CD. that's bullsh*t
i do agree with mel. i cant take for travel because it runs out of batter. but you can play it for 7 hours and it runs out of battery. and it depends. if you put the volume up to loud than it wastes more battery though

yes, I can put korean characters into the song titles. But sometimes it does not work, I dun know why. But I think it depends on your computer has Korean fonts or not, since my laptop had it, when I transfer the files, it does appear Korean letters. However, when I use my desktop, it appears like crap crazy.gif , cuz my desktop does not support Korean fonts fury.gif
That's what I know, pardon me for my narrow knowledge.

Cowon IAudio 6

Company site:
http://eng.iaudio.com/product/product_iAUDIO6_feature.php

My review:
http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7813

i dunno about any other cowon mp3 players... just a little about the u3 because my cousin has one.

the i6 is about the same size as the u3 and has mostly the same features... (but you can't change the theme colors like u can on the u3) The i6 has this additional feature called usb host but im not sure what it's for... what i do know about usb host is that you have to use it in order to delete files on the mp3 player if it's not connected to the computer. usb host takes a while to load... but it's okay b/c i don't delete files on my player much. the output is 60mW (same as the other models i believe?). 30mW left and 30mW right.

NoComp asked on my previous post if the buttons next to the touchstrip are tactile or touch sensitive.
the answer is... they are touch sensitive ^___^
any more questions?

The price i paid was 289,000 won (approximately 290 US dollars) for the player, bundle earphones, cables.... the basic stuff

The stuff i got as extra accessories with the player (usually sold separately... but in korea they tend to give you the extra stuff for free if u buy the player from certain places) was a case, ac adapter, armband, some useless cowon accessory thing...., and a couple coupons.

today i found a store that was selling the player for 240,000 won at Yong san (a big electronics market in korea)...
240,000 won is approximately 240 US dollars.

Here are some pics sice you guys asked for some ^__^

IPB Image
My player in the case (probably sold separately... but I got it for "free") with my new sony mdr-e888 earphones (58,000 won or about 58 US dollars)... to be honest the sound quality is not that huge compared to the bundled earphones that come with the player.
IPB Image
the player with the case opened.

that's a pic of me trying to look cool...sleep.gif;;)

actual size of the player (my hands are small)

the bundle earphones in my sony mdr-e888 case...

OH yea... forgot to take a pic of the top... all there are is a earphone jack and a line in jack.
Forgot to show the back too... T_T
The back just has...well... words and logos... (BBE, Mach3Bass...etc) and a serial number.

Hope you guys liked the pics~~ ^__^

Cowon is widely known for its excellent sound quality.

It may even exceed the ipod. ^____^

COWON ALL THE WAYY.
