Hey, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.

But I was just wondering how much CDs cost in Korea??.. I'm going to Seoul at the end of the month and have a big list of CDs I want to buy but not sure if I should wait to buy them in Seoul or just buy them from YesAsia.

Also, what are some major CD chain stores I should look for? Thanks.

bt if u have the time go to as many shops as possible to check out e price
some shop have cds no matter popular or wif freebies at the same price.... *tat's wat amaze me e most*

i bought some cds in a small shop at Myeongdong for KRW13,000, and then i went to bigger cd stores like that one in Coex Mall and i found some to be KRW1000 cheaper. there's also some stores in the MTR underground pass, i forgot where exactly but it's around Myeongdong too i think. i also bought some used ones at KRW7,000.

most of the cds i bought while i was there was around $10-$13

Last time I went the stores in Apkujung Dong (Rodeo Street) has the cheapest price - those CDs on sales are only 8,900 won. But that was a few years ago.

yea when i went to korea in 99
i think it was around 10,000
which is pretty much the same price as yesasia.com

Albums: 11,000 - 15,000
Singles: 5,800-7,000

But, if you go on sites like g-market, you can get CD's for like 10,800 or 9,900.
I ordered the last four of BoA's Japanese Singles there all for 20,000

normal albums:
synara records: 12,500 won
hot tracks: 13,000

the hot tracks price is generally the higest a store goes on a new cd....some places are below 12,500...but they arent like chain stores

I know something is supposed to go here....I just can't remember what

I have a ques 'bout buying CDs. Would anyone recommend me any site that I can buy Korean CDs but it's counted on the sales of the artists & ppl from Korea can know that the buyers r overseas? ^^ Thax so much 4 answering me!

hm. does anyone know the names of some stores that are good for buying CDs from in korea? cause all this info is helpful but i dont think i would be able to wander around a lot looking for places to buy CDs cause of my mom.

i get my CDs from Morning Glory if that helps. you have no idea how happy i was when i saw all those imports >_>...they're very up to date with their CDs also.
