The lead singer of the Geeks has been living for most of the last year in the US somewhere, and he managed to get his whole band over there for a big international tour.

Finally they're returning and will play a show on Saturday, February 25 at Skunk Hell.

I like to drink so I was a little wary of these guys at first, but they're all some of the nicest people you could meet in Korea.

You are right when you say they are the nicest people you could meet in Korea.

I drove three hours to see these dudes two weekends ago, and it was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Glad to see they made it home safe.

Yeah, it's tough being straight edge in Korea. The lead singer of the Geeks said this to me in an interview once:

Yeah, you know it. It's fecking absolutely difficult to be straight here. There are pressures here and there. It's everywhere. If you don't drink, you're totally out of step with the world, and if you don't drink, you can't get a good promotion in your company. You can't make any friends in University if you don't drink. Drinking and smoking is what is only takes to be accepted in Korea.
