the gruber's book for both math and english is pretty good. the practice tests on gruber are actually harder than the real sat, so the philosophy is that if you can do gruber, you can do the real thing.

sparknotes has nice tough tests... so they're pretty good for preparing you, at least for the US History SAT II

AP English (both Composition and Literature) - 5 Steps to a 5. They have good tips/writing prompt topics/samples.

AP Psychology - Barron's. Memorize this and you're done.

APUSH - REA

AP European History - REA also.

AP Spanish - Princeton Review

AP US Government - Barron's
good day.

I used

SAT I:
--the Official SAT study guide (lots of practice tests)
--Princeton Review's 11 New SATs or whatever it's called

AP Chem/AP US History/AP English Lit:
--Kaplan/Princeton Review

SAT II (US history, literature, bio, physics)
--Kaplan

The consensus among my friends is that Barron has the most detail, Kaplan in the middleish, with Princeton Review having the least.. so pick and choose depending on how much time you have left?

Is there a good place to buy SAT study books (the official?) online?

For example, this one:
QUOTE
- The blue/official Collegeboard book - The Official SAT Study Guide (me - very similar to actual test)

I think REA (Research and Education Association) is the best for the AP US History test. And since I took the SAT II US the day after my AP exam last year, I did really well.
Sparknotes is my least favorite. And Kaplan is alright.

I chose Barron's for SAT I. I agree, it's much harder than the real test, but Princeton was talking to me like I was 2.

I think Rocket Review (http://rocketreview.com/) is better than the college board blue book. ^^;
The tips are REALLLY helpful, but the book is more expensive (about 30 bux).
I didn't buy it caz I already wasted a lot of money on SAT prep book. lol
If you're interested, go to Barnes & Noble and check it out.
I actually read the whole writing and verbal section at the bookstore. Haha. GO ME! XD

For SAT I, I highly recommend the blue CollegeBoard one. It's very true to the real thing in terms of difficulty. The only problem with that book is that it doesn't give you a real score.. only a range. So it's REALLY hard to figure out just what score to expect when you take the real test.

I don't really recommend the Princeton Review SAT I book because I found it to be pretty different from the real test. But it did give me a real score, unlike the blue book.

I used Kaplan's SAT II US History book.. it was pretty good, I guess. There were A LOT OF typos though. I mean, it doesn't affect the content, but I just think it's dumb that such a big test prep place like Kaplan would have little screwups like that.
