And, this is just my opinion, but I think the girls are all of a sudden lipsynching and catching on with the whole "sexy" image because, well it's pretty much clear cut that female artists don't have nearly as many fans as their male counterparts. The sexy image, however, still seems to be popular in Korea so the management might have thought it was a chance to give the group a new base of fans....Perhaps Seeya didn't become as popular as the record company had hoped and they're trying different things...
Whatever it is, I do not take well to them lipsynching, it would have been better if they built their popularity up like SG wannabe, being known for their LIVE talents on stage and solely gaining respect from their music, not by going out on all these variety shows and whatnot in order to make themselves known...
btw, maybe it's just me but I've watched a few of the awards shows and Gyuri looks really sickly; her face is sorta gaunt and she's starting to look a bit too skinny, especially at the KBS awards (where, btw, Boram sang very well with Eru, albeit, it was a bit short...).
Anyhow, I'm hoping 2007 will be a successful year for them...

yea, im not as hyped about their new image and i must admit its making me lose a little interest in them, i know i suck. But i still love the girls, i just dont get why they think it will gain them more fans. One of the major things that people love and respect them for is their live singing and their non sexy image, this is what has made them popular. But its an industry and so of course the companies and they themselves might feel its right way to go. ITS NOT!! i dont mind them dressing like that sometimes but i just dont want them to lipsynch.
I like them on varitey shows, heheh. it allows them to gain more experience as not only singers but entertainers, especially since the company and themselves probably want to go into other things.
And Gyuri should stop losing weight, she was already tiny before

dancing once in a while is ok for entertainment
but i hope their next album would be nice with alotta rnb ballad, cant wait =D
edit-
their image hasnt totalli changed, it doesnt seem that bad if u think about it, it now sounds like they constantly do it but u can count the amount of lipsync performances they did with ur fingers
i dont realli mind their clothing except at times, just more dresses but then they used to always wear pants
but it is true that it is hard for female artists to maintain and gain fans unlike males - fangirls ><"
like out of the all the seeya perf i have(alot like 60 O.O) theres 3 lipsync inside

considering you dont really know me you cant really say that. Im still a fan and still support them, no matter what, its a little rude of you to comment about other fans like that and how much of a fan they are and are assuming that they only liked them for their 'live' performances. Yea its your opinion and I'll respect that but just because im not enjoying something as much as another Seeya fan might be, doesnt make me less of a fan or any of the others who have stated. When i stated i've lost interest in them i was meaning the fact im not enjoying the fact that they feel they have to change into a sexier image, in order to gain more fans

its not that i want you to think your a less of a SeeYa fan then me. i wanted to point that just because they lypsynched a couple times is not a good reason to lose interest... unless maybe the only reason you liked them was because they sang live... but that probably isnt the only reason you like them.

I know thats probably why but i really only lost interest in the fact that Seeya feel they need to change into a sexier image, the first performance of them i saw was the lipsynched version of Crazy Love Song and i liked them instantly and it was the non-seziure one btw. So i understand and i respect your opinion. I think some others who stated they lost interest could find offense. like i sort of did but i knew what you meant just i didnt want you to think that just because an aspect of one of your fave entertainers or celebrities doesnt really interest you as much as another aspect would, does not make you a non true fan. Not everything your fave celebs or entertainers or whatever will interest you a 100% of the time, but that wont stop you from loving them. I hope you know what i mean

if seeya wants to retain their "true fan" they have to be true in their music meaning that respect their fans by being a real singer who sings live not lipsync...even if you lipsync once for no good valid reason you have actually disprespect your fans...dancing is not a good reason for them to lipsync...other gassoo dance too but still sings live even if their singing doesnt sound as great as when they are not dancing i will still watched the whole performance because it shows that they put an effort to. sing live even tho they dance .....ppl like me who is losing interest in them because to me they are trying to be a wannabe like getting into this sexy image and all when they are not....its just so fake....i respected and like them because of their clean image and live singing...thats actually part of the reason why they are popular and different from other girl group who are mostly going for sexy image do a hard core dance and lipsync even in their first ever performance...thats just not right because they are there as a SINGER not DANCER.... .to be able to sing live is a talent and if they value their talent they will never let it go to waste in lipsync....to me as a true fan i have to be able to give a constructive criticsm and hope they will at least realise where they have gone wrong and why fans dont like what they re doing...it seems SEEYA is going downhill if they continue to perform like this lipsync and sexy dance and sultry wardrobe....i can watch other singer who dance and lipsync way better than them.... as a fan thats not what i want to see from them thats why its just irritating watching them doing this time and again....

Yeah i'am losing interest. AND WHAT?! Are they trying to keep fans by continuing to lipsynce and dancing <------ Those came at a price. 2nd lipsynce Seizure girl, sexy dance Gyuri's malfunction. Me as a fan likes them because they have talent and sings live and have good songs... But they are not using that talent and their voices for their good music. I don't wish for them to take the path of lipsyncing and sexy dancing girl bands cos there are ALOT out there that are better at them at those stuff. I want them to showcase their talent for their fans just to be amazed everytime, and go "That sent shivers down my spine cos i can hear the emotion in the voices"
But it really depends on how you define a fan, if you define as scary DBSK fans (No offence) yeh then i would say i am not that. I'm a fan who feel in love with their songs, talent, and then their personality. The appearance was a something extra but it didn't matter because the amout of talent they had.
BTW seeya is the first ever group i brought their CDs and posters without having to persuade myself to, because i wanted to buy it.

just wait for the new album =] should be great vocal wise, and plus, new music. it's like a cycle really. you can't expect to keep 100% interest at all times. it's crazy around album releases and begins to subside as you wait for new material. i'm actually surprised that i've kept this much interest for so long. never happened before <3. losing a bit of interest doesn't mean one isn't a fan anymore, and i think that's the case around here. people still really care for and support the group, i don't think that should be misunderstood.
and i think the bashing on disrespecting fans and stuff can be a bit of a rough subject because i doubt that they are asking their manager to do all that sexy stuff. i get that you're disappointed, but sometimes it just seems as if people think it's totally the members' fault.

yeah. i agree. by being this way, i think they're not really thought of as the girls of SGWANNABE, since they keep lipsynching and dancing. i mean, they can dance sometimes, it's no biggie. but lipsynching? i don't care if they do it once or twice, but i think the voice is really the talent and they are considered a singing group, so they should stay that way. although........it's nice to see a different side of them, but they're completely changed now. it's kinda weird to see them now in their short skirts and tube tops. but regardless, i still enjoy their music and enjoy being a fan of theirs. =)
btw, sgwannabe, have they ever lip-synched on any performances?

and too Asianspirit, dont you think its a little harsh to SeeYa to say that their disrespecting their fans? I'm actually fine with SeeYa performing at all, at least they get too. SeeYa doesnt symbolyze "singing live", they symbolize talent (singing, dancing rapping, etc.) and you cant define that SeeYa is ONLY meant for singing because, SG Wannabe invested money in them for vocal AND dancing training.

if you claim being a big a fan of seeya, you should really respect what they do. dont get me wrong, i am not bashing you but i think it's way over the line. can seeya not showcase their dancing abilities too? just because it's "sexy" doesn't mean it throws them off as popular live singers. and sg wannabe invested into seeya to dance as well, so of course seeya has to showcase their dancing here and there. seeya is all about talent. they are excellent live singers and of course great dancers and as entertainers i believe they give a heck of a show dancing or singing.

ENTERTAINER NOT SINGER FROM THE VERY START....DID YOU SEE ANY GREAT SINGER THAT COMPROMISE THEIR LIVE SINGING JUST TO SHOW THAT THEY CAN DANCE??
well i think there's no point in arguing ...hmmm i just hope the seeya girls do well in their next album and not waste the effort of sg boys in training their vocal...whether they want to continue lipsync n dancing or whatever then all the best to them.....

I have to agree with you, the most important aspect of singers is, first and foremost, their vocals and their music.
It's really sad to see how people blow off lipsynching with "everyone does it, no big deal", "They're dancing at the same time" as if that excuses it, and I'm not just talking about Seeya but the korean music industry. I was drawn to Seeya with the fact that they were extremely talented vocalists who cared only about the quality of music and were able to showcase their immense talent LIVE. And I'm pretty sure that Seeya has lipsynched more than a handful of times, not to mention, I think the song sounds better live anyway...
Nevertheless, I'll still be watching out for their next project, I'm guessing a new album should be on the way?
