Kim Yeon Ji, the lead vocal of the female trio group Seeya, recently had a double-eyelid surgery.

Before her debut, she was advised by her optometrist to undergo a double eyelid surgery because her eyelashes poked into her eyes. However, she could not get the surgery due to her heavy schedule after the onset of her debut. Now that she's on a break, she has decided to get the surgery.

A close friend of KYJ stated, "Kim Yeon Ji has recently received the double-eyelid surgery. While she was performing and promoting her album, she suffered from eye irritation caused by the poking of her eyelashes. She is now glad that she can do her activities without paying attention to the irritations."

The same friend added, "Although KYJ did not undergo the surgery for aesthetic reasons, she is glad when people say that her new eyes match her well."

On another note, KYJ has recently risen to number one once again on the music chart with the song "I hate you" from project album "Allstar" composed by Jo Young Soo.

Seeya's song "I hate you" from the album "Allstar" has set the record by rising to number one in mobile downloads from providers like SKT in only one day. Also, it has received an explosive response from the online site www.mnet.com by rising to number 2 on the mp3 download chart, passing #4 "gashiri" by SGwannabe and KCM.

"Allstar" will be released on February 2nd.

Thanks for the news^^ thats good about the Allstar album and Seeya!!! I see a better year and bigger!! As long as they keep putting out great music, all will be good. As for KYJ's eyes surgery no comment about the article on that. Im happy that she is happy!!! and i adore her. But im thinking that Yeonji will be releasing a solo album soon, i just feel it. I think she will be first to do a solo album rather then Gyuri or Bo ram. I feel Gyuri will do acting more then singing. hahah random thoughts

^i think it's b/c of the thick make-up and her eyes are very very small. girls tend to add fake eyelashes to their eyelashes too, so maybe that's why. however, i know what you're trying say not making an excuse for KYJ, but it's a possibility.

I was quite skeptical of that reason as well. JunJin used the same reasoning to explain why he got his eyes done. We'll honestly never know... but I guess it's better than them denying it... right?

well its hard to deny something so obvious. I think i would rather have her state i had double eye lid surgery because i wanted it. i have nothing against that. In Canada i remember watching a docu/show about surgery and it was about Asian girls and their eyes, they basically showcased some young girls in their teens getting double eye lid surgery. There were various reasons why they had it done which i completely understood. But honestly i dont care if you get surgery yes it changes the outer appearance but it doesnt change whats inside. Though people do use surgery to help them to change the outside and the inside too. im tired. hahaha. Im really skeptical about the reasoning, i just feel its her way of excusing herself for getting it done so she doesnt have to face harsh criticism but seriously any reason you give wont help others casting judgement and honestly she doesnt have to make an excuse its her body. But yet again her reasoning could be true. It dont matter either way i love her

sorry..but I don't buy the 'eyelash pokes into my eye' story..things that like don't really happen when you're an adult. a child perhaps.
i wish she could have just come out and say the real reason why she wanted it. There's nothing wrong about wanting or having eyelid surgery..it wouldn't change what the fans thought of her...and if it did...then those 'fans' really aren't fans.


but anyhows....the bottom line is...no matter what, i still love their songs.

I agree with the whole adult/child eyelash thing, but like twothree said. She might have gotten those fake eyelashes that are really long.
