Actually, they came out with a new album-on a mainstream record company. I liked their old stuff.

ooh razorlight . i don't know much about their music . they made an appearance in one of my favorite tv series though , the mighty boosh , and they all seemed nice . and because i like them i just assume the guys that write the show much have good taste in friends . but then i've been reading about johnny and everyone's talking like he's the next little bastard gallagher brother .

oh well . i still haven't found a place to give them a listen , so i don't know ..

how about libertines and babyshambles ?

i was so impressed the other day at djs , i found a sass&bide shirt with "libertine" written across the front that i wanted to buy . but i thought i shouldn't buy it without knowing about the band . not that they're related , but i can't have one without the other , i don't think . so i gave them a listen . i'm not listening to babyshambles now , i'm too sad about libertines . anyway i probably won't buy it now anyway , but the music is great <3

as for finding bands and things .. i just get references from people . like you'll hear someone talking somewhere about a band , or see a person with a magazine tear-out with a nice looking band on the front and look them up somewhere . there's a girl i know who has similar musical taste to me , so sometimes i see what she's listening to . um , i listen to some old cds that my dad has . i think rage is pretty good , esp guest programming by slightly obscure people . i also see bands mentioned online , either in wikipedia references or myspace friends or at soompi , or maybe a fansite will have a link somewhere . uhh you could just pop on in to record stores and see what's going on . i just went down to melbourne and while i was there i visited missing link (http://www.missinglink.net.au) , and picked up some magazines and stuff there to see what's going on .. you don't have to listen to everything , but if a comment someone makes or a quote or lyric you hear or an album cover gets you interested then i just take 5 minutes and see what they're about
ema <3 LUPEN

there's this girl i know and she's okay .
there's this guy as well , he's much the same .
