Has anyone heard of Jarvis Cocker's new album? does anyone like his solo work better than Pulp?

Has anyone listened to Feist's the Reminder? i want to know if it's good.

Voxtrot is a really good band, but I felt that their first album did not live up to it's predecessors (EP). All their EPs combined would make a really great album. Most of the songs on the album sound the same. I'd have to say their best would be Raised By Wolves EP. Everyone should listen to The Start of Something by Voxtrot, if you haven't heard of them. It's a great introduction, and is one of the most perfect songs I've ever heard. I never get sick of it.

And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.

I recently came across a band called The Spinto Band. It's actually pretty bomb.

They're Indie-PowerPoppish. Very catchy, especially their songs "Oh Mandy" and "Crack the Whip."

I love Oh Mandy (: Direct to Helmet is another great song. I'm just waiting for the new album! They've had me waiting forever. They only have one album, and that was released in 2005.

Yellowcard is DEFINITELY not indie.

Hmm. I like The Spinto Band, Small Sins, Firekills, Fujiya & Miyagi, Imogen Heap, Megan & Dia, Tegan & Sarah, Oceanlane, Voxtrot, Hard-Fi, Exit Clov, The Shins, The Feeling, The Kooks, and so much more.

I also like local bands from Austin. smile.gif

Ah, The Kooks! They came to Toronto recently and talked to people from The Edge radio station, and they are apparently the coolest guys and are REALLY REALLY modest. I missed out on their show, but hopefully they'll come to Toronto again :]

Ingrid Michaelson is one of my new favorites, as is Tilly and the Wall.

I was upset that I had to work last weekend because she was in town doing an in store concert. Her music is just amazing. Her voice isn't amazing but she rocks it.. Also one of my new favs.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE The Long Winters.. anyone else a fan?

Ray LaMontagne anyone?

Feist's vocals are beautiful. I quite like The Reminder although Open Seasons was better in my opinion. The Reminder is slower, I think.

DAPHNE LOVES DERBY is one of the best indie bands out there... plus it's pretty cool that the lead singer is ASIAN, particularly KOREAN, and particularly CUTE! I never get tired of listening to them. Check out their albums on itunes and websites
