Honestly, I think "Electric Feel" sounds like getting high at a disco.

I like their song "Kids" though, it's catchy.

MGMT is great! I love "Kids".
And I just started listening to Black kids, thanks to this thread and I really like "I'm not gonna teach....".
I've been listening to it on repeat for the last couple of days.

i use to be into indie music a lot. now i'm just so so so but my faves were:

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE: transatlanticism; passenger seat
BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE: broken social scene EP; major label debut
HOCKEY NIGHT:keep guessin'; renegades
OKKERVIL RIVER (INDIE/AMERICANA): black sheep boy; song of our so called friend
STARS: nightsongs; on peak hill
MINUS THE BEAR: menos el oso; pachuca sunrise
AZURE RAY: hold on love; sea of doubts (best song ever)
THE SHINS: oh, inverted world; caring is creepy
THE HONORARY TITLE: anything else but the truth; snow day
SPARKLEHORSE: dreamt for light years in the belly of a mountain; shade and honey
RILO KILEY: more adventurous; a man/me/jim

is anyone here excited about the new Kings of Leon album???

cos i am.

and the new Oasis album that's out rpetty soon is being released on Noel G's own label Big Brother Recordings... i know its going to be awesome cos 'The Shock of the Lightning' and 'Falling Down' already sound so good...

and a little off topic, but did anyone go to the Canadian Oasis gig where Noel was pushed over by a stage invader and suffered a fractured rib?.....

just wondering is all..

I just put some Lenka on my ipod last night. For all you girls that love feminine indie folk/pop, definitely check her out. She fits perfectly in the Rachael (Rachel?) Yamagata, Ingrid Michaelson, Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, etc. Very catchy, piano/guitar-driven music. Good for a sunny or rainy day.
