I am so like in a state of confusion with this.. SOmeone please help me..

Like i am a senior now graduating in the spring from High School. My family is moving to Tulsa, Oaklahoma for some reason. AND i DEFINITELY don't want to move down there, so i thought that i can just stay up here in Boston, MA by myself and live in the dorms. I figured that since i have been living in boston and practically lived here for almost 10 years, why should i move to Tulsa and pay outside of state tuition in college down there, therefore i'll just stay in MA and pay resident tuition and go to a state school here, but my brother just told me that if my parents move, i will be considered a non-resident. Is that true? Because my mailing address will be in Tulsa where my parents live.

I was thinking, i'll just get an apartment and stay a resident here in MA, but i know my father wouldn't allow it, and my friends are all gonna live with their parents while they go to college.. So i have no trustworthy ROOMMATE.. SO i have no idea what to believe and do..

someone help me..

You can buy a house in Boston, and you will be considered a resident in Boston. That, of course, requires tremendous financial support. Or you can ask a friend to provide their address for you. That MIGHT work, I'm not sure; the college might not like another person's address.
Still young, but I feel incredibly old. Silly me.

yeah, whatever you wrote up there is true. to be considered a resident of MA when your parents live in Okla, you need to show hat you support yourself, and thats not really a possibility for you right now. so... i dont know what to tell you

once you move out of boston, you're out. you're no longer a resident of MA.

unless you decide to buy a house or something at MA then you're still a resident.

but how weird of your parents to move out to OK.

Man! I didn't even think about that before..
*big SAD sigh* *Cries* Man, then i'll just have to pay out-of-state..

If i have to pay out of state, then i should've applied to out of state schools!!
Well, that opens the door to the private schools..

Thanks everyone for your replies.. Maybe i'll just have to find someone
to live with or support myself..

IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME, PLEASE TELL ME!!
