Ok right now I have a dilemma. I either have to drop APUSH (ap us history) or AP PSYCH.
APUSH is super hard because the teacher is the strictest lady ever. It requires lots of outside reading and the students fill their 5? inch binder all the way up! AP PSYCH pertains to my future career. Along with these classes I have Chem honors and Pre-Cal honors sooo If I take normal us history, do I have to take it again in college?
What are some required classes that have to be taken in college?

It depends on your major. Colleges will tend to ask you for the required courses along with general electives, through which you can choose from a wide variety. Psychology and History are just two of them. You can take both or you can take either one... or you can take none of the above, although taking them is recommended. It really doesn't matter. Both subjects are very interesting, so taking a class again shouldn't hurt.
Unless your major is going to be History or Psychology. Then you will need to decide accordingly.

Still young, but I feel incredibly old. Silly me.

Both Psychology and US history are required classes for general classes in college. What you can do is just take AP psych and then take the AP test for US history if you want.
(I had scheduling problems too..so that's what I'm doing.)
But some other required classes for general (the 1st 2years in college) are:
English 101 and 102 I dont know if this includes World Lit
World History
Biology
Psychology
Us History
Govt/ Econ
Calculus (lots of majors are requiring this now)
but basically, most of the AP classes are required classes in college except probably stat
that's all I know..but you probably have to take some other "elective" like classes as well for fine arts..probably music or foreign language

depends on the college. johns hopkins, for example, doesn't have a set requirement of classes. they just tell you which classes you need for your major and then the rest of the credits they'll assign to like humanities, science, math, etc.

A second language is highly recommended, but they're not really going to pound you over it. I'm in UC Davis, and I'm not really inclined to take a second language class here.

I heard most UC's require 3 years of foreign language.
I too hate spanish and it will not help me anywhere in my career.. well kinda if I have spanish speaking patients but STILL!
I want to take chinese but my school does not offer it b/c it has not been modernized yet. If I do petition for chinese, they will probably increase the tuition b/c of the new teacher and it will not offered until i graduate from that school so it's unless.
Oh man, we have to take arts again. I hate arts! I've been stuck in drama class this year and it threw off my schedule.
I'm probably going to take both APUSH and AP psych b/c I like euro history but I don't know about u.s. history.
Thanks for the help!
