Even when it's my friend, I don't know what to do b/c if I ask them what's wrong, they might cry EVEN more because they rememberd what happened again. If I hug them, they might want to be alone so they don't want hugs. So I'm lost but if it's my best friends, then I'll hug them and then they'll cry for the longest time (I get bored =X) and then they'll talk about it. SO yea.
When it's random strangers... I just look at them and walk away
When it's an acquaintance, I make a sad face and just stare at them while their friends go hug them.. I don't like hugging people I don't really know sorry........... haha.
So how do you react to a sad/crying person?

omg I know what you mean. sometimes I want to walk away and pretend I don't see them crying haha. I just ask what's wrong, hug them, and if they say "nothing" or "I don't want to talk about it" then I stop completely and just go away or talk about normal stuff

and yeah if it's a mere acquaintance or someone I don't know, I just get curious but I obviously don't ask

When I was younger, whenever I saw someone crying it would make me wanna cry too..but now. hmmm I guess if I saw my friend crying, I'd ask them whats wrong? If they tell me, then I'll talk to them..if they don't say anything, I'll take it as a sign that they don't wanna talk about it.. Maybe I'll just be there in person to comfort them without saying anything..
I avoid asking ppl if they're okay (eventho sometimes i do it accidently) because obviously if they're crying..they're not really okay right?
& sometimes when IM crying, and someone asks me if im okay, i end up crying even more lol

Oh and I try to cheer them up by doing something silly and stupid

i ask a crying person why they are crying. then if i want to, i give them a hug. if its a baby i tell them to stop and i will give them candy lol

I don't know how to react because I'm always afraid I'd make it worse if I ask what's wrong or make any movement. I just sit there next to them quietly and pat their back until they're done. Yeah, >__<;;.

I watch them and then wait for them to calm down. Depending on the situation, I'll listen to them and comfort them with words or leave. Some people just like being alone, and I'll accept that.

Usually, when one of my friends are crying, there's usually a huge crowd hovering them asking what happened, are you okay and all. I guess just try to wait until they've calmed down a bit, and without asking what happened, try to reassure him/her, and crack a joke (: It'll make them feel better.

i try to comfort them and talk to them

asking them what's wrong does make them feel worse..it makes me feel worse too when people ask me that..like i don't really want to talk about it

I get REALLY uncomfortable when a friend cries. I just stand there in case they need someone to talk to. But if it's someone that I know doesn't mind hugs, I'd give them a hug.

Honestly, if it was a stranger, I'd give them a weird look and walk away.

i usually just sit with them.. or if they're standing.. give them a nice long hug...... just DONT ask them whatz wrong... just stay with them
