By the way, I had the privilege of going to an awesome Hip Hop concert in Seoul back around New Years..
Highlights were definitely having Primary Skool on stage providing the musical background for all the artists, and finally seeing The Quiett, Paloalto, TBNY, and Garion =D Here's just a couple pics from "UNPLUGGED" !

TBNY!

Why couldn't I be there =( That must have been amazing!!!
Speaking of Primary Skool, I still haven't gotten my hands on an actual copy of their album (Step Under the Metro)... anyone have any idea about how one might get this album without going to Korea? Plane ticket is too expensive right now, and I'm probably not going back until the end of summer, and that album has been out for a really long while =/

Wow... how can I get the mp3 of this? I'd rather buy if possible, but if not... =/ I have the albums Music, Q-Train, The Real Me, The Lost Me, Back on the Beats Mixtape, but I don't have this... would be very interested in finding out where that album can be acquired.
Just recently got The Lost Me; what a fantastic set of instrumentals! Just built up an L & Q instrumental playlist, just instrumentals from Loptimist and The Quiett... got it on repeat for hours now

P&P vol. 1 went out of stock a long time ago I believe. Will Records is kind of dead too. Your only option is hoping for a repackage (like me). The whole album is a must though.

I'm curious if anyone's thought to write / record lyric sets for The Quiett's album The Lost Me... been listening to it a lot the past week or so, all the songs sound like they're inviting lyrics!

I'll try to help you out some, I've been absorbed by Korean underground for a few years now. Don't say MC Mong here... just a heads up. If you read into it, his reasoning for his music is purely fame and money; that was his inspiration. His parents told him not to pursue fame or wealth because people would make fun of his looks, and he has said in interviews that his mission was to prove them wrong... he is not an artist in my book, but rather an entrepreneur selling a non-standard product.
I started a little thread about K-hip-hop playlists, and if you look through there, the majority of the posts have really awesome artist sets. The Quiett is actually my favorite producer / MC by far; he's extremely musically talented, great with electronics, and also is a very compelling MC.
That blend is from a guy who goes by Inntimate Sound (I've talked to him some). He took the lyrics from Purple and mixed it with Dolphin Dance, a track The Q wrote. People Love Yesterday is actually a remix Q did over his own song. If you like that feel, look up P-Type (the song Don Quixote in particular) and MC Meta.
Big Bang is wasted talent I think, so very sad =/

i actualy came across P type a few minutes ago while doing more The Quiett searching and i like his songs and his voice
by the way do you know eher i could listen to more of their songs?
EDIT:
lol i had no idea what you were talking about considering my question, but i came across a song on youtube where i think epik high used Jay-Z's fallin' on another song which is basically what your saying people love yesterday is like right?
anwyas thank you for answering

2009.1.30

01. 246 (prod. by The Quiett)
02. Blusky (prod. by The Quiett)
03. Badd Habitt (prod. by Prima Vista)
04. Never Go Back (prod. by Vida Loca)
05. Player's Night (feat. Loptimist & D.C) (prod. by Loptimist)
06. Just Go (prod. by Vida Loca)

Also thinking about producers, The Quiett and Loptimist are by far my two favorite producers, not sure I've ever heard a producer I've liked as much as these two.

This is true, not sure why I didn't think of Hwana... so that'd change it to top four, hahaha. Yeah, 넋업샨 is still one of the best lyricists, but I don't think his flow is the best. Not many can even come close to touching his lyrics; the track with him and Gaknakunae on DJ Soulscape's beats is amazing... I'd be so intimidated if I was Gaknakunae, hahaha.
I like DJ Soulscape, but I have to be in a certain mood for it. Verbal Jint is too much of a jerk for me to ever listen too, I don't care how talented he is, he just bothers me >.>
On a side note, I had all but forgotten about Eluphant (Kebee and Minos collab)...

^It's awesome to see how close these guys are (and lol The Quiett)
