Okay, I've noticed that so many singers are turning into actors/actresses.
What is up with this?
It's like they aren't making enough money singing, so they have to turn to acting to help them gain more cash or something (not saying that as a fact. lol.. but probably somewhere along that line).
I don't exactly have a big problem w/ this, because some of these singers actually do have decent acting abilities... (while some sucks)
But the fact that MANY singers are going into acting is just .. WOW there!
Hyori, Eugene, Minwoo, Dongwan, JunJun, Andy, Yuri, the DBSK guys, Bi... the list goes one.
It's as if they are planning for their future already, so that when their singing days are over, they can turn to acting... (pop singers usually don't last long onto their mid-years unless they have terrific singing abilities)

Just my opinion.
Do you guys think it's a BAD thing that singers are becoming actors? Or is it a benefit to the K acting industry?

Me? Well, more actors = more entertainment...
Though I feel that a few singers should never have stepped foot into the acting studio, and I mean NEVER.

This is just my my opinion, but I think that some singers when they first start off their plan is to get famous by singing and then switch to acting. Especially those who are in a group, but dosnt sing/dance much in the group...its just my opinion

if i was an actor i would get sorta...not pissed but kinda mad? just because im a professional and SINGERS were going into my profession without any skills or skills at all

Personally, I don't like it.. most singers-turned-actors suck at acting, and just end up ruining a drama/movie for me. Like 'Goong', I stopped watching after the 1st episode, because I can't stand Yoon Eun Hye's acting. I loved the Manhwa, and now it annoys me that I can't even sit down to watch the drama without wincing.

imo, the acting industry seems easier to succeed in than the singing industry right now. Just look at the music sales nowadays! and it's mainly the 'untalented' singers who go into acting. For example, singers like Sung Yuri, Lee Jin, Andy, Eric, Lee Ji Hyun, etc. are turning to acting.. because honestly.. what else can they do?

There are singer-turned-actors out there, like Kim Dong Wan, Jung Ryeo Won, Bi ETC who are actually good in acting, and those, I completely support.

Overall, as long as they're GOOD in acting, then go for it..

Usually I have a problem with singers turning actors, but for the Korean entertainment industry, I find that many of them are actually quite talented in the acting field. Just judging by their music videos, they do a fairly good job at acting. So I say...go for it because most of us can tell which ones suck, anyways.

it's really fine for me if they CAN act.

And I think singers go into acting so that they can venture into something else since their singing career wouldnt last longer than what it would be in acting career.
And if they do succeed in acting, they'll have more fans and get more popular (and more money).

i think, in my opinion, TVXQ is a "for fun" example
but it could be that the singers want to promote themselves.
as long as the acting is fairly good,

I think it's kind of good that they're trying out new fields like the rest of us trying new things to learn more everyday.

they're just like us. ^^

I tried breakdancing and failed..but I still gained much from it. If it's comfortable for them, I guess just let them do it. I'll support the ones I <3...and can only hope them the best.

it doesnt bother me. If they act good ill watch the movie/drama. if they suck then i just wont watch it. it doesnt make a diff to me if they were singers at first then started to act or an actor/actress all along. As long as they have the skills, ill like them.

i personally don't care, as long as they can act. But usually, they can't... haha i'm still looking forward to dbsk's drama (i think they're coming out with a drama)... even though i don't think they can act very well.

I don't think that girl from goong is that bad of an actress (i haven't watched very much) ... she's better than some actresses out there.
