how about get healthy and lose body fat for life? i love how ppl binge during winter, and then worry about the pounds they gained in spring.
For real.
Anyways, my goal is to lose 5-10 lbs and...tone up I guess. I should eat more fruits too. I'm more of a vegetable person and healthy breads (usually wheat with healthy nuts and flax seeds). Oh yea, LOTS and LOTS of water.

It's been 3 / 4 days and I lost 2 lbs
I exercised for 1 and a half hours everyday.
I biked for 12 miles.
I ate a very small dinner and lunch, and a muffin for breakfast.
Drank a GALLON of water per day. (not literally)

i used to limit my calorie intake.. but i didnt actually count my calories. I only ate one meal a day [dinner], ate a bunch of fruits and drank water and did fine the first 7-10 lbs. but afterwards, it was extremely hard and tiring, and you gain the lbs back more easily...
my doctor told me that if i just ate healthy fruits and veggies (+ meals of course) and absolute NO junk food [which im still addicted too] it'll be a piece of cake to loose 20 lbs at least in 3 months.
oh. and if you lack sleep (under 7 hrs or so) your metabolism decreases. and drinking green tea increases your metab.
heres a few tips i got from http://www.passionateaboutfood.net/cgi-bin...028193558,35977
* Don't skip meals as this will make you more likely to crave other foods and snack because you are hungry.
* Don't starve yourself as this is most likely to lead to you experience cravings and to give in to temptation. Keep healthy snacks, like fruit or carrot/celery sticks) handy at all times.
* Drink plenty of water as dehydration can sometimes be mistaken for hunger and can increas cravings, especially for sweet foods. Water will also make you feel full, so you would feel less hungry.
* Don't keep foods you crave in the house, and don't go shopping when you're hungry as you're more likely to buy foods that are bad for you.
* As with any craving, distract your attention from it - go for a walk, have a bath or watch TV.
* Indulge once in a while so that you don't deprive yourself completely as this could be your downfall. If you crave chocolate allow yourself a fun size chocolate bar instead of a regular size one and don't feel guilty.
* Brushing your teeth always helps too.
i have a bunch more tips [from LJ/GJ communities] if anyone wants ^^
