power walking on a treadmill or outside.
my doctor told me that walking is better when you're trying to lose weight.
you wont end up having a problem with you legs bulking up or anything.
cycling helps and the steps help too
i couldnt jog before either, but i slowly increased my time.
i only jog for 30 mintues and power walk for 45 min-1 hour on the treadmill.
jogging is not a must if you want to lose weight. it helps but i think jogging is to help you stay fit.
try jogging and you'll get better at it
good luck!! ^____^

will jogging/running make your tighs big because I like it more than walking. walking gets boring.
Jogging won't make your thighs bigger. It'll help you lose weight faster and tone your legs!

But anyway, YES!!! DAY THREE OF HEALTHY EATING IS COMPLETE!
For the past few months, I've been eating really unhealthily, but have been getting away with it because I have had 23+ hours a week of marching band practice. (I know that might not seem like a strenuous exercise, but I play a tuba that weighs 30 pounds.) But now that band has ended, I really wanted to get into eating healthier.
I think that has been what has helped me more at this attempt, the fact that I have multiple reasons why I wanted to change my eating habits, not just weight loss but because I wanted to be healthier and have better skin. A trifold!
Okay, I know that three days doesn't seem to be that much, but seriously it is for me! The first day is always the worst, (I have many times eaten really healthy up until a pig-out at night) and now I'm to day three! Woohoo! And its so much easier now!!! I had a lot of temptations today, but I said no!
I guess I'll see how I do in the next few days, but what I can suggest to all the of the people on this forum is to REALLY think about why you want to get healthy and lose weight, not just to "be skinnier" but think of all the benefits it will give you! It can motivate you. And I know it sucks, but as I am discovering this time, and as I discovered last year when I lost 15 pounds, the first few days are always going to suck, but it WILL get better.
I guess I'll frequent this forum more, maybe it can keep me motivated.
**I also recommend buying fitness magazines, even if you don't end up following what they tell you to do. The layouts, colors, and pictures always look so happy! They make saying "no" to cookies and eating berries instead actually look enjoyable!
