My first time here...Took a while to read the stuff...But...Anyhow...I like this forum quite a bit...It's interesting and pretty helpful.
Well...I'm 167cm...about 5ft 6inch? But I weigh like...A lot? 56kg, which is like...123pounds...And my mother and stuff say I'm fat, my friends say I'm fine... So...First things first...Am I healthy? And I know I'm not considered skinny...but would I pass for someone who isn't lazy?
And I wanna tone my thighs so they're a lot thinner. My stomach isn't a big problem, I'm pretty flat. So...Any ideas people?

when he says my name, I can't stop smiling.

^ What size are you, weight does no justification on how fat you are.

i don't think, just judging from your height or weight, that you're fat. you're probably just average size. i used to be 5'6" and 123 pounds, and some people told me i was slim, and my mom said i was getting plump, and i thought i was just average, but wanted to lose a few pounds. i think you're current height and weight is fine, but you'd look really good if you lost 5 or 8 pounds.

^First off, do you even need to lose weight?

If you really need to shed the pounds, consult a doctor.

How old are you? What's your frame?

I think you're perfectly fine. Roughly, a female your height with a small frame should be around 120-133 pounds. If you lose any more weight, you'll definitely become under weight. (Source:http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/met.htm) I suggest you consult a doctor, if you're that worry about you're weight.

I don't see how the size of your jeans or shirt matters. There are other reason why it would differ since you have other factors: bust, waist, and hip.

Well having yoru weight and height does no justification. Your muscle mass plays a strong role in this. I'm the same exact weight as her, but i'm 4 inches shorter. I'm a size 0 in AE jeans, which is roughly a size 2 in Jag jeans. Obviously BMI isn't very accurate.

That's why I also ask her what's her body frame. The chart I referred to include body frame and height to determine the suggestive healthy weight range. Clothing size isn't really necessary to know, because hip, waist, and bust sizes are what really determine the clothing size you wear.

That is true, considering on ones body shape and the areas where they store fat, however, like I stressed before, muscle mass plays a extremely strong role. Things like BMI don't even take that to consideration. Most of the soompi girls are under 18, so BMI doesn't take that in to consideration either.

hmm...I'm thirteen. And I have considerably broad shoulders, not too bad though, because I swim...I'm not really sure what you mean by frame though...sorry...could you give me an example or something?
Actually no, wait, i just checked some website thingy...and it told me to wrap my middle finger and thumb round the smallest part of my wrist and see if they touch. If they overlap then I have a small frame, if they touch then I have a medium and if they don't meet I have a large. They overlapped which should mean I have a small frame right?
What does it mean?

^It means that you have a small physique/build. Like I said before, if you're really that worry, it's best to consult a doctor than listen to anybody amateur advice.

That's why I also told her to consult a doctor, too. If you read my earlier post again, I also asked her age and used the word roughly. Yeah, BMI can be inaccurate if the person has an extreme amount of muscle and low fat. However, I doubt she's that muscle bounded. Yes, I did took in consideration that the BMI chart I referred her to was based on fully grown adults. That why I used the word roughly. Her doctor can figure out a more accurate BMI.

I guess I should stress this: if you're concern about your weight and is planning to go on a diet, it's best to consult a doctor than come here on Soompi.

oh wow! you will do great with this!! <33 biggrin.gif

i need to lose at least 10 pounds before summer. I'm going to go to Korea with my friend. He's offering to take a few friends and house us at his grandma's house. I'm pretty chubby also from the holidays.. Since it goes around like desserts and .. like mash potoatos and etc...

I'm 166cm (5'5 /12) dry.gif
59.09kilos (130) crazy.gif tears.gif

I want to get to 115 sweatingbullets.gif by ... FEB.

any suggestions to lose faster?

i dont' think i could do the eat every 2/3 hrs.. (~_~) i'd feel bad for eating all day haha!!

i'm going to try to eat alot more smaller proportions and exercise everyday.

do lot of leg lifts and situps .. push ups or so.. ( HAHA I SHOULD TRY JUMP ROPE THING. XD )

i can play DDR every night too ~
i use to go on work out mode and burn 300cals. lol.
i should try to go on it everyday? maybe that will work XD
drink lot more water + veggies.

I usually eat LOTS OF FRUITS.. hahaha..

anyways

thats my goal.. up to FEB. XD hope i can stick with it biggrin.gif

I'm 5'2 weight 100 to 105 lbs.....
base on the figure....i'm not really chubby....But base on looks, i need to be between 95-100lbs. the 5lbs can really make a different.
my biggest problem is my abs, it's more like a love handle right now. need to work real hard on that.

i really want to fix the above problems b4 June. cause in the summer, i really want to look good in a swimsuit,be more active. I don't want to be afraid to show my own skin.

basically my plan is to
eat less junk food
do at least 100 sit ups a day
eat healthier.

yeahhh.....sound simple but I can't seem to follow the plan.

I cant wait for the fatties to role in to the gym for their new years resolutions. They make it packed every year. And theres going to be fat man ass all over the place.

Good thing almost all of them will drop out and give up after a couple weeks.

I know what you mean about fat/obese people going to the gym to actually lose weight and yes, many put it as their new year's resolutions, but don't you think you're being a little bit too harsh on them?

Well for me, at least they have the guts to go to the gym and lose the weight off. And besides, in some gyms, you have to be a member for 6 months before you can drop out. Or at least it applies over where I live.

does Yoga help you loose weight or gain abs?

I want to loose some fat, but I don't want to gain any muscles...

any suggestions for a person who dosen't like the outdoors and rather stay indoors?
I'm only 13...I'm not old enough to join any fitness gyms and things
