I'm Vietnamese and maybe it's just me but when I see my grandma she nags me about how I'm chubby and that I shouldn't be overweight cause people don't like that and that as young as I am I should be pretty. =0. So when I was at her house one time she asked me if I wanted any pho and I was like no and then she was like you have to eat, Are you anorexic? LOL

I've read some comments saying that people need motivation cause they don't get it from their family. I have the same problem.

what kind of work-out exercises are you doing lydia? & what specific foods are you including in your diet?
i agree with you about drinking water.
for work out i jump with a imagination rope for like half an hour lol, at least 20 situps, stretch my legs and arms with stretching band. last week i also took 1 hour walk every morning, but i couldn't keep it up when weekend came
for my diet i'm having milk and fruit for breakfast, something like a veggie sub for lunch, for dinner more vegetables and fruits.. also always eat really really slow
today was my first day, it went ok. except i didnt exercise coz i have a test to study
i read somewhere a leg workout suggested by Lin Zhi Ling, which is to put each leg against the wall at a 90 degree angle for at least 15 minutes every night before going to bed.

yayayay i want to join this thread!
i badly need some sort of motivation ...
bc i've been on a "diet" for a month now
... which is not going so well lol ;x
but today i did 15 minutes of jumproping
& drank lots of water & had no junk food!
sure! let's be diet buddies
i have a huge problem with snacking late at night too...
that cereal/ those rice cakes/ that etc. food is so tempting :x
it's okay - we'll have hot bods by summertime if we stick with a good plan
yeaaaaaa. ahaha. im 5'4. i think i'm pretty thin, but i gained a lot of fat around my thighs and some to my waist during high shcool (also due to soccer and ballet)...and i MUST get that off before summer.
i read your plan, and i'm doing the exact same thing. cut out all junkfood, drink TONS of water, and not eat past 8! AHHH. i already ate granola bar passed 8....its so hard, but we can do it!
its been a weeks since i follwed up my plan, and after a week, my sunday pants were a LOT looser in the thigh and tummy area. i ran a lot the past week. (+dance for two hours twice a week and yoga once a week) AND lowered my rice intake by lots.
lets keep it going! let me know how things are going for you.
by summer hopefully i can go down to atleast 107-110 pounds and have a nice toned body. =D HWIGHTING!!

I need a buddy too! I'm about 5'4" and I'm trying to lose 5-10 lbs and tone up before I go to Korea this summer. My schedule is sorta hectic and I have a really hard time finding time to eat right and exercise regularly. I usually end up eating junk food at weird hours. =( Anyone?
i already have a buddy, but it seems like u and I are in the same boat. i'll be ur buddy aswell =D
wuts ur plan?

however....my mom also said that eating to much egg is bad for you...i don't know why.
+if its scrambled, im sure they add in salt and cheese, which isnt' too much of a good choice

everyone is welcome to join. it's for getting healthy and lowering body fat is on the path to a healthy lifestyle.
i'm glad that everyone has been finding motivational buddies! i have 2 also. so how did everyone do this week? i met my goal of 1.5lbs loss on monday.
awesome, just wanted to be sure
currently: 5'10, 162 lbs, ~8% body fat
goal: 5'10, 170 lbs, ~8% body fat
i'll start with baby steps and aim for gaining ~1lb of muscle per week; hopefully at this rate i'll be where i wanna be in about 2 months
good luck to everyone else too; best wishes
^ well i read that eating eggs for breakfast was good because it filled your stomach up for longer, meaning that you wouldn't be as hungry when it came time for lunch.
however....my mom also said that eating to much egg is bad for you...i don't know why.
+if its scrambled, im sure they add in salt and cheese, which isnt' too much of a good choice
eating too many eggs is potentially bad for you because it has a lot of cholesterol in the yolk so the easy way around that is to removie the yolk and eat only egg whites. too much salt (sodium) is also bad for you.

5'3, 128, most of it i think is hips and tummy-- hips because i'm latina and i can't help it. ><
i have a question though-- is doing sit-ups and push-ups at night a good thing? +stretching? because i've been doing that for a long time and sometimes it helps but i don't know if i should keep doing it.
