omg!! my parents just got about 5 boxes of freaking girl scout cookies. but luckily i've had absolutely no urges to eat them.

DAY TWENTY-THREE

breakfast: 1 cup cocoa pebbles w/ 3/4 cup fat-free milk, 2 slices lowfat wheat toast, caribou coffee bar
lunch: handful of grapes, lowfat peanut butter on reduced fat ritz crackers, 100 calorie pack mini corncakes, sugar free pudding cup
dinner: leancuisine french bread pizza
snacks: small piece of banana nut bread (-____- for french class), granola bar
liquids: water, milk, diet root beer, diet cherry coke

exercise: 45-minute spinning class, lightweight strength training, 30-minute 3 mile cardio run
total calories burned ... approx. 400-500 regular calories, 256 fat calories

woo, yay for me. XD i "slacked off" a bit in spinning class today.. i only ran 2 laps around the track instead of 8. lol. but i made up for it tonight by running. speaking of that, i can now run nonstop during the running parts of the 30-minute program on my treadmill. i'm soo proud of myself! 2 weeks ago i could NOT DO THIS at all. i was afraid to even not hold on to the sides of my treadmill (afraid of tripping & falling). but i do not trip or fall. smile.gif it is ALL GOOD! yay! i also felt really refreshed after running tonight. happy.gif time for bed~!

Wow you must be really fit.
You can run at a speed of 6.0 mph nonstop for 30 minutes on the treadmill ??? Do you drink any water during those 30 minutes?
May I know your height/weight/tips for running ? biggrin.gif

is it alright to have like one day where you eat what ever you want
and then then rest of the week you just stick to a low0cal diet?
or is that considered unhealthy
like the one day I mean eating more foods, that are just as healthy
but have a way larger calorie consumption?
cuz I have really long days on Wednesdays and eat like heaps of stuff!
about 3000 cal? but normally i eat half of that on other days lols
I'm trying to drop about 4kg by mid april and I'm currently 57kg so I dno if i should just stick to low-cal every day

It's not that bad, but I'd rather you not do that, they say that diets are more successful if you don't do that, and well...it's true...you could be losing like, say 2 lbs in those 6 days, and on the 7th day, you could gain back a pound or two if you ate whatever you want mellow.gif so yeah...

I think that on Wednesdays, maybe just drink a lot of water, so you don't get hungry easily, and snack on fruits, they help a lot and are essential for your body smile.gif Also, have the usual 3 meal thing, but try not to consume more than 3000 calories... =X

DAY THREE

Breakfast - A bowl of Special K cereal, some Tuna and Mayo left from yday (not exactly a big breakfast, but more was consumed this time)
Snack at school - Alpen cereal bar (about 70 calories)
After school - Rice with lots of broccoli (I love eating broccoli LOL), 1 cooked chicken drumstick, little bit of fish and egg. Soup.
Snack - Date and Walnut Loaf Cake (about/less than 100 calories
Tonight - Sushi I think, but I'm not too sure if that's considered okay for a dinner, or is it too small?

Comments - I'm more happy with myself today. I definitely felt more full after breakfast, and felt energized too. Suppose I will have to eat a bigger breakfast tomorrow as I got badminton at school biggrin.gif I don't have any urge to eat junk food too, so that's pretty good ^^ I'm not eating much meat today, just focusing a lot on eating fruits and veg.

Exercise - Will be working out tonight, like I did yday, slowly building it up smile.gif

Also, can I ask what spinning helps you with?

lol hardly. at least not yet.
and i don't run nonstop for 30 minutes.. the program on my treadmill is just 30 minutes long.. i just managed to run the entire time during the running parts of the program, but it's mostly slow jogging. lol.

finally did some exercise today since sunday. 1000cals at gym ^^, wanted to go jogging in the morning but woke up at 06:36. sigh.

8 hours sleep really does make a difference. yesterday i was surviving on 5 hours and i kept craving for food. today, although i thought about food, i wasn't actaully hungry.

weeeeeeee

i feel really energy-less though =_= lol couldnt think of the proper word.

Day 1

Breakfast - 1/2 slice of buttered toast with 3/4 of an apple (don't ask >>; didn't have enough time to finish the rest =P)
Lunch - Fries (Super guilty but all the sandwich they had leftover was icky ><;)
After school snack - 1 cup of water cause i was dehydrated and not hungry =D
Dinner - Fruit salad (1 banana, 1 apple and 1 mango) + Low fat bluberry yogurt
Exercise - 30 mins of brisk walking on treadmill <<----- Is this way too little? How much should I do that for each day if i'm gonna exercise for at least 5 days per week? also is it bad to drink water in the middle of exercising? btw, is it bad to exercise when you're on your period? I just found out i got it when i was changing and getting ready to go on the treadmill =P

I remember someone telling me that it's good to exercise when you have your period because it relieves cramps if you have any.
I know we all like to lay around and eat food but exercise is good happy.gif

It's actually better to exercise when you have your period, I read somewhere that
when your on your period your body burns MORE calories than it normally does [for some odd reason]
so when you exercise it's like your burning twice as much fat!

Wedesday 3/7/07

exercise: [I do the ones with a * b/c I'm a thrower in track and field.]

- 12 minutes of hard core running
- Stretching A LOT...
- elliptical for 45 minutes
- 8 lbs. arm curls, 30 on each arm*
- lunges w/ 20 lbs. pole on back, 20 times each leg*
- 15 minutes of hard core runnning again
- 5 lap pull downs with 40-50 lbs.*
- Benched 8 times with 50-65 lbs.*
- sprinting exercise 4 times
- up and overs

food intake:

Breakfast- 1 small fried egg, 1/2 cup of melon, nonfat yogurt
Lunch- Salami and ham sandwitch on wheat bread. 1 pear. Water.
Dinner- Pasta with tomato sauce, very very little rice with anchovies.
Snack- Melons.
Liquids- 8 oz. of water, 1 cup of tea.

I have heard many things about exercise making you more awake and energized, but after 3-4 days of exercising I have felt myself get weaker and unable to do things I used to do. For example, the first day I exercised I had so much energy after. I was able to run a mile nonstop and a constant pace. Two days later, I had to stop and walk while running the same mile. I didn't have energy leftover after practice when I usually am my very hyper self. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. If you really need a grouch, there are probably a few dozen of your relatives to do the job.

Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening ...whatever. Just never let the brain idle.

Enjoy the simple things. When the children are young... that is all that you can afford. When they are in college... that is all that you can afford.

DAY TWENTY-FOUR (yesterday)
breakfast: 1 cup cocoa pebbles w/ 3/4 cup fat-free skim milk, 2 slices lowfat wheat toast, all bran bar
lunch: handful of grapes, lowfat peanut butter on reduced fat ritz crackers, handful of lite barbeque pringles, sugar free pudding cup
dinner: leancuisine french bread pizza
snack: handful of frosted mini-wheats
liquids: water, milk, diet coke

exercise: 30-minute 1 3/4 mile cardio run
total calories burned ... 255 calories

i realized that i was looking at my treadmill wrong this whole time, the usual 250-500 calories i burn a day ARE regular calories, not fat calories. the screen on my treadmill will switch back and forth between telling me how many regular calories and fat calories i've burned, so i was confused. XD no more confusion though. was going to run more tonight, but got too busy.

---

I'LL WRITE TODAY'S LATER. i'm really mad with myself though, i was way too exhausted to go to my cycling class this morning (had a huge fight with my mom last night & didn't get much sleep at all). is it bad to miss just one day. .___. because yesterday i didn't run in the morning, but decided to do it after school. i'm not going to let this become a habit though, i want to keep running in the morning.

but is it bad to miss one day? should i really be feeling so guilty? i am going to burn tons of calories later.. so.. i don't know. ;__; i just feel really guilty. i feel like i'll gain everything back even though that's silly, because it's only 2 days, and i still eat healthy, and i've still ran. WHY AM I FEELING SO CRAPPY/LAZY? ;_;

Wow, really? I should try it if it keeps you full, cos I'm always running late for school [well not really, but running late of getting out of the house >.<]

Today, I totally missed breakfast cos I woke up at 8am, lol, which is really bad I must say.

DAY FOUR

Breakfast - None
Breaktime - Decided to have a plain pizza, I was hungry and I was going to have badminton so thought it's not that bad since I'll be burning calories.
After school - Rice, with lots of cauliflower, little bit of minced meat and lots of fish.
Tonight - I have no idea, I'll come back and edit*
Snacks - Alpen Cereal bar, grapes,
Liquids - Soup, Water

Exercise -

1 Hour of badminton, I was sweating a lot, but carried on, not to mention I laughed alot which was a bonus to burning calories, lol. Workout to do in the minute. smile.gif

Comments -

Despite the fact that I missed breakfast, not too bad overall. I actually sweated a bit while playing badminton, which is good plus it was a sunny day smile.gif I think it'll take a long time to lose some weight since the weather here isn't exactly to the point where you'd sweat.
