i need to lose my freshman 15...so i guess i will start posting in here every once in a while. i have always been chubby, but since i went to college i have ballooned to a huge size! although it is a lot of weight, i still want to loose 15-20 lbs by the beginning of school (late august).
just to give you an idea of my current health state...ill go over what i ate today:::
height: 5'2
current weight: 143 lbs
goal weight: 125-20 lbs
breakfast: 1 applesauce + 1 oreo
lunch: 1 club sandwich + chips
dinner: hibachi shrimp + fried rice + zucchini
beverages: water + lemon, sweet tea
as you can see...i am a fat girl and i like eating like one.
hopefully i can start keeping it under control and actually restart my workouts!

Brunch: 1 apple, 1 "organic nature bar", 1/2 (225 ml) Odwalla Super Protein Vanilla Al’mondo
Snack: Cheese/carrots/celery with ranch dip
Dinner: 1 small "100 Calorie" kettle popcorn bag, 1/2 (225 ml) Odwalla Super Protein Vanilla Al’mondo, 1 mandarin orange fruit cup (in light syrup)

Workout: Various walks around campus and mall. (~1 hour worth of walking)

Dinner: Fish, shrimp, and rice
Desert: Grapes
Exercise: 1 hr. of walking, 40 sit ups
I wish I could exercise with a treadmill.

I did okay today.
Was feeling a little guilty over the chocolate sundae but I can't, cos it was so good!!
Here's today's food intake:
Brunch:
1 chocolate overload sandwich cake
½ orange
32 cashews
7 malt biscuits
Some cream cheese
Snack: ½ orange
25 cashews
1 hazelnut brunch bar
Dinner:
fried chicken + rice
roasted Pumpkin and chickpea
1 medium double chocolate sundae
25 cashews
1 hazelnut brunch bar
Some cream cheese
3 malt biscuits
30 mins medium bike
wow...that seems really light if you ask me.That's a really low BMI.
We really aren't recommended to go under the recommended BMI range.
But I guess we all have differing idea of what ideal weight we want.
But most importantly, is to be healthy. =)

@loveof: That's v. light, aim a little higher? How old are you? I reckon the lowest you should go for is 100 - 103lbs (well 101 is the lowest to have a healthy BMI... but if you're young than I think it's ok to a bit lower? Not sure...)

mangmang22: Good luck~! To lose 15-20lbs by August, you'll have lose about 2.3 lbs per week which is about 1200 per day. If you eat 1300cal a day (of healthy stuff) and then burn an extra 100cal or so, you'll be all good for the goal

9:30am - Plain Quaker's Oat made with skimmed milk, miso soup, 1/2 grapefruit
11:30am - 2 bowls of watermelon
1am - bowl of noodles with egg and leftover fried carrots and pork, 2 slices wholewheat bread without crust with 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1/2 grafruit
Total calorie intake so far - approx. 850.
Weight in morning - 119lbs
Exercise so far - 20mins walking
I think there's something wrong with my scales!! 3 days ago I was 119, then overnight I suddenly put on 2 lbs and then lost it again yesterday. What is up with that?? I did NOT eat 7000cal more than I burned. GRR. It's one of the non-electronic scales aswell...
But I'm still at 119 which is good, and I'm trying so hard to not eat too much like I did at every other weekend before... there was my grandad's bday cake in the fridge and I did not even eat a slice
Start weight: 124lbs
Current weight: 119lbs
Target weight: 105lbs
Amount to go: 14lbs

loveof - that sounds too light.. i think 100 pounds is a good weight for that height.. even 105
DAY 14
Breakfast: 2 mini sandwiches, each with 5 slices of healthy choice thin sliced ham between light 100% wheat bread
Lunch: didn't eat yet, but probably 2 slices of ^ that wheat bread with 1 tsp of reduced fat chunky peanut butter on each slice
Snack: half a crunchy granola bar(90 calories) + some reduced fat tortilla chips
Dinner: 3 boiled eggs (17 calories each), lightly salted, no yolks + an orange
Workout: 30 minute cardio workout, 100 sit ups, 200 jumping jacks
TIME TO GET IT TOGETHER - alright sorry that was a note to myself. i've been in crazy moods and i'm so pissed off at my family lately.. ugh oh well.. i hafta get back on track on my diet.

snack: quesadilla, some popcorn & strip of candy thing(<- i saw HP7 haha, so popcorn is a must
lunch: 1/2 of a panini [shared with a friend :] and starbucks frap (WHYY did i eat this ><)
dinner: dont remember... >< what was it.. i think it was some fruits? haha
exercise: walked around for 5 hours, around an outdoor mall
day 12
breakfast: yogurt +cereal + milk (the usual
lunch: 2 slices of pizza
dinner: small piece of porkchop + brown rice + some veggies
snack: wheat thins and gold fish
exercise: swimming for 2 hours, 160 crunches, 160 buttlifts, ran 4 laps
day 13
breakfast: yogurt cereal milk
lunch: sampled food around costco!! ahahhaha. and had a bowl of spaghetti + a whole wheat tortilla slice
dinner: fruits
snack: zuchini cake
exercise: swam for 30 minutes. walked a lot hahaa.
day 14
breakfast: granola bar, yogurt with cereal
lunch: ?
dinner: ?
snack: ?
exercise: went swimming this morning, 2 hours ><
man i have THREE BBQS to go to this weekend >< i hope i dont splurge and then come home heavyyy. hahaha

i was trying to determine if i should gain some lean muscle weight..
i'm 14 almost 15 in a month. so 5'2 and 93 pounds is unhealthy?
i guess i should gain 5 pounds.

I'm pretty sure that sashimi is not that bad since it is just fish. But you shouldn't eat too much! Most fish that they make into sashimi (especially salmon) is really fatty. The fats are good fats (Omega 3s) but you still shouldn't eat too much.

I think I ate a lot today too =( Man I need to cut back on the food portion.
Breakfast: honey oats Cereal with strawberries + milk
Lunch: 1/2 serving of pasta or less, 2 lemon bars
Dinner: Mongolian Beer + rice, wonton soup, slice of hawaiian pizza
Gym: 1 hour cardio = 600 calories burned, 3 sets of 20 leg press, 3 sets of 20 abdominals, 2 sets of 20 of triceps, pushups
I feel like my eating is balancing off my gym workout

Ugh, messed up real bad. Maybe 'cause I've been snacking all day yesterday and didn't have REAL food, and that I was starving today and didn't eat until like, 5 pm. -_____-
And I don't have a scale in my dorm, so it's hard to keep track of my weight... whether I've lost or not.
Lunch: 325 ml Silk Chocolate Soymilk
Dinner: 1 1/2 cup OJ, 1 plateful of sugar snap peas, vegetable lo mein, mashed potatoes, 1 rosemary chicken breast, 1/2 small salad w/ vinaigrette dressing, 1/2 slice of cheesecake, 1 slice of pumpkin (or sweet potato?) pie, 1 chocolate chip cookie, 1 slice of cantaloupe and melon
Exercise: I dunno. Didn't do much today. :/

have you ever considered not dieting? to be honest, 90lbs isn't exactly "fat" or heavy in any way. also if you're under 18, then you're still developping so your weight really shouldn't be that big of an issue.
and another thing, its only day5 and you've lost 1lb. that is hardly slow by any means as people are advised that 2lbs a week is best if you want to keep the weight off. it also seems that you're starving your body of nutrients and as a result your metabolism rate has lowered.
