I need those springy mats you find at gyms.

My friend can do all those triking moves.
His crew got rejected from Kollaboration laugh.gif

He can back/front flip on grass too.

unless your friend is a proffesional trainer - I would not do it

I saw a show on tv about a cheerleader that attempted to do a back flip
and she broke her neck and is now permanently "paralyzed" and can no longer walk and must use a wheelchair.

it's very risky, the helmet wont protect you from injuring your neck

pfft, your friend was n00b.
Ever heard of Team Ryouko?
Well, my friend just watches their vids, heads to the gym specifically designed for triking, and starts practicing.

He does daily stretches (hey, no martial arts, but he's much more flexible than most martial artists), and does normal routines. In just 3 months, without the help of a trainer or these "safety gear", he could back flip, front flip, 540 butterfly kick, 180 gyro spin, etc.

Don't base things on the worse case scenario =/

Teach = long time...
You need to develop some muscles here and there, achieve a pretty stable self-balance, and be able to actually flip laugh.gif

I used to love doing flips when i was younger. For me, I gained confidence to do flips by doing cartwheels, then moving on to hand stands against the wall.. I'd be flipping off my couches all day long, but those days are so long gone..
