Wang LeeHom has to be the cutest male Chinese popstar around (next in line, Edison Chen). He's also very talented musically (Berkley) and his American-accented mandarin is quite adorable. I want to have his babies!! With our combined genes, our monstrous male-on-male mixed-&-matched clones will rule the modelling, film, music and television industries!!

Oh, yes. I almost forgot the point of this entry... His latest album Shangri-la is pretty good. Very American (the man is) in content but in Mandarin and with lots of Chinese instruments. I quite like the concept. He calls it "chink-out". Not sure the term will catch on like how "nigga" did. Please go out and grab a copy. Yes, buy one. Feed this handsome (hot), young (super cute), talented (sexy) artiste so he can produce more music (and be in more photoshoots)!

P.S.: Sis and I think he's probably gay. There must be some trade off. He can't be that perfect! Think about how ugly and talented Jay Chou is. Yeah, we're thinking along that line of trade off. Forever Love Japanese Version. This was released last week.

Leehom is the king composer of love songs. Last year's romantic song of the year was his song "Forever Love." It was one of a series of songs Leehom has written for his ex-girlfriend. Leehom wrote this song after his ex-girlfriend told him that she was getting married. "I had mixed emotions at the time, part of me felt that my very hopes had just been crushed, but another part of me felt like celebrating with her. I was so happy for her, that she had finally found someone who could give her forever love." Leehom is able to convey his multifacted array of emotions through his songs, "Forever Love" is no exception. "This song is a wedding present, wishing her the best," Leehom expressed, "it proves that in a superficial society, pure pristine and everlasting love still exists and I'm glad that she's found it." How greatly we would all want Leehom to write our wedding song for us.

In addition to producing, composing, and writing the lyrics to the song, Leehom also directed the music video. This is because Leehom wanted to show visually what he felt emotionally. The music video revolves around a guy, played by Leehom, who recieves an invitation from his ex-girlfriend to attend her wedding. The guy attends the wedding and performs. Meanwhile performing, he has flashbacks of their relationship. The video is one of Leehom's more personal ones and many fans cried upon watching it. He is now about to bring this emotion to his Japanese fans.

Leehom's first full length Japanese Album was "Hear my Voice." Which was released in 2004. He released 1 single with the album, "Dream Again," which debuted at #6 at the Oricon charts. A great feat for a Taiwanese artist. This time he will be releasing another Japanese single. This single is a rearrangement of Forever Love and will be sung with top Japanese Acapella group "The Gospellers." Leehom and the Gospellers met at the Channvel V Christmas performance in 2004. The group and Leehom performed "Silent Night, Last Christmas, and I just Called To Say I Love You," the group was really impressed by Leehom's ability to sing. This new single is scheduled to be released in April, the same time Leehom's Gai Shi Ying Xiong album will be released in Japan (It was released in the rest of ASia on 12/30/05)

I feel bad for him, he's had sooo many rumours lately.
It's annoying that the media is inconsistent. And Leehom being the private person he is doesn't say stuff about his life and the media just makes stuff up.

First he was Gay
Then he was with a girl named "Victoria London"
Now he's rumoured to be with Shu QI, wth.

Anyway Leehom apparently was extremely dissapointed in the Media. But Leehom isn't a vocal person and he usually keeps things to himself. But I think this time things really affected him because his MOM wrote an article about the taiwanese media and their irresponsiblity:

Early in the morning he recieved the shocking news about the misleading write-ups in Taiwan newspapers on a love affair falsely claimed by a girl Leehom only met once. This kind of "緋聞炒作的新聞" is always so unfair and unjustified, but the scandal reported this time had really crossed the line. Leehom and his friends were perplexed to say the least

Leehom was visibly affected by the rumors and stressed out. He was silent all day. We all knew he was under a great deal of stress, but we also knew that as soon as he began to play his piano and get himself immersed in his songs, he would be fine. And he was.


In recent years the Taiwanese media has grown less and lessresponsible, and anyone with a name or a reputation has paid the price. It seems as if it has gotten to the point where as long as someone is willing to say something, the press is willing to report it just so they can sell more copies of their publication.
只要有人敢講, 媒體就敢寫-This is a daunting and troublesome phenomenon, which can hopefully change in the future.

In the meantime, there is no need to worry about Leehom. He is not going to waste his time or energy on this bit of worthless gossip, or any other for that matter. He will continue to work hard at what he
loves, and to play for the audiences who come to hear him.

Unreleased English Songs

Technically, this isn't a new song. It's the English version of "不着地" from his 2003 Unbelivable Album

Leehom's recorded English versions of his songs on his Wei Yi, Forever's First Day, and Unbelievable Album. Around 2000 he wanted to release an English album, however he kept on postponing it. And now he just wants to concentrate on Chinese music so his English versions of songs are stuck in the vaults, whether or not he will ever release them is unknown. But I guess since he makes most of his stuff in America, and uses file transfers through Yahoo Briefcase, Leehom's unreleased tracks are floating around the internet. And WOW someone just managed to find this unreleased track.

The song isn't really "new", but it's cool to hear the English version of it

This girl was like "How can you not tell me? I buy your music I deserve to know."

Obviously the girl doesn't understand that buying his music gives her a right to listen to his music but not a right to interfere with his life.

I personally respect Leehom for being able to keep his private life secret, but the stupid media is soooo nosy. and the sad part is that some fans get way too personal and possesive over Leehom. But it's like, what does Leehom's love life have to do with his music? As long as he continues to make good music as fans we should care less who he dates. After all we are fans of his music not his girlfriend.

Obviously some people can't get that through their heads.

But honestly, even if Shu Qi was an arse to the fan in Japan, she should still respect Lee Hom's privacy. I mean, it's HER IDOL that she's hurting in this process.

I understand wanting to know more about your idol's private lives, I mean, it's like pulling closer the distance between you and them but there has to be an extent to which fans should allow themselves to pry. If it's causing distress and inconvenience, that's obviously going over the line.
